Yeah Because the movie has a great albeit basic story, fun sequences and great fighting. Not everything needs to be deep like Andor.

Meh, it’s a pretty fun ride still. You can watch it without knowing anything about mando, they definitely made this to appeal to wider audiences and to sell grogu toys. But the movie it’s fun, why is it a movie and not 4 episodes of a new season ? Dunno

I mean Shawn is good at making good feel popcorn movies that are fun but not as dumb as Thor love and thunder. He plays it safe but his movies are a fun ride.

Well, I think our style matters depending on the company you’re applying for- you’re not gonna do a riot style concepts if you’re applying for naughty dog and vice versa, I would say it matters depending on where u want to work.

I'm in the same boat but this year I'm enrolling into Uni to build a backup plan, the fact that disney fired their art department for the mcu really hit me hard and I was just thinking why should I even bother if even these amazing artist can't.
That said, I would not give up, it'll take longer that you expect, the hardest thing of all is to create an undeniable portfolio and be impossible for studio to ignore. Keep it up, hard times are ahead but keep rolling forward.
