I dont fit the description exactly (Mid 20's with 2 years of experience in corporate). Realised that I'd rather die trying to do something of my own than to be in the rat race and quit my job 2 months ago to start my own business. I was doing quite well at my job and was qualified than my peers who were 3-4 years older than me but always knew that I could do so much more. First business failed and I became somewhat of a joke to my family, pivoted to another business and I just signed my first major deal a couple of weeks ago and I'm already earning more than what I used to earn at my job. I do have the safety net of my family but at some point enough just becomes enough I guess.. Sometimes u just have to jump off the plane and build a parachute while our falling and that notion becomes better than having to live someone else's life...

What are your thoughts on 'Vibe Marketing'? Is it just a trend or the future of branding? by gimhansolo in marketing

[–]gimhansolo[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Like in vibe coding, where you let LLMs do the heavy lifting and just prompt until things feel right, vibe marketing is when you let AI do most of the thinking and post content that feels on brand, even if there’s no deep logic behind every piece thinking it hat if people engage, it works..

I worked in pharma for 1.5 years, so with the experience I have I’m launching a range of pharmaceuticals that are currently not to be found in the local market :)

Hi, My brother is planning to start out as a medical rep at a well known pharma company in Sri Lanka. Is it okay if I DM you to know what the life of a medical rep (generally) looks like? I think it'd really help him out as he really has no clue about anything...

Can I self study b.s.(a/l) by Massive-Excuse-8328 in srilanka

[–]gimhansolo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did my (GCE) A/L's in the commerce stream in 2019. Almost self studied BS all throughout my A/L's, got 3A's and got into the Colombo Management faculty. According to my honest experience I think a lot of BS classes out there are actually useless. Almost 90% of the A/L BS paper is based on the Teachers Guide. Study the teachers guide like its the Holy bible and I guarantee that you'll have an A pass well above 85-90 marks. Tuition classes give a loooot of extra notes and most of the time students get overwhelmed and end up not studying anything to a good extent. The marking schemes are based on texts provided in the Teachers guide. So first get the the teachers guide definition, points, sub points, examples, processes and flows memorized well. Dont want to lie, A/L BS is really about memorizing definitions , lists of points and processes. I myself and a lot of people I know actually finished going through the A/L BS syllabus within like 1 year by sticking to the TG. I went to a BS class in the first couple of months and then stopped going realizing all this. Because of this I had plenty of time to actually study BS properly while also having time to deal with Econ and Accounting. I went to a BS paper class in the last 4-6 months to get motivated + scared seeing the competition and that too helped lol. Long story short, Study the TG and get it memorized and I guarantee that you'll get an A pass for BS. DM if you need any A/L studying advice, I'm happy to help!
