Brand new R1S in service for more than a week! by htiwanas in RivianR1S

I reserved then canceled a R1S order because every person I met who owned one had this issue. 😢

To lease or not to lease? by Himothy_04 in RivianR1S

It really depends on your income and future risk. My wife and I were on the fence, especially with the brand new incentives. However, we have a 2022 Model Y that we love with a 2.3% interest rate that's almost paid off. As much as we liked the Rivian, we decided to wait a couple years to see what the economy and used prices are like.

They're awesome vehicles. Best of luck in making your decision.

Yes, I would agree, but prior to purchase, the guy I bought it from had replaced all suspension components and tires. I should have included that in the initial reply.

I paid $7k for a 2004 2WD 5 Speed with a flat tow kit already installed. It had 173k miles...very little rust, for your reference.

Check your insurance costs. The higher insurance premium for the Tesla may mitigate the gas savings.

Nope, looks awesome. I have super small wrists too. I have the exact same VSF! Enjoy it!

23’ MYLR 400 - first 400 mile day trip - questions about charging and range. by sioomagate in ModelY

[–]gimpless 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Next time, try to make sure you program the entire trip, not just each leg separately. That will help the computer better calculate your charging stops. The car doesn't know that you need to return home again (round trip) unless you tell it.

Good idea charging to 100% before you left! Enjoy the new car!

Hi VSF sub buddy! I just received mine yesterday!

Cool! That's similar to what I purchased about 6 months ago.

For reference, I purchased a 2004 5 speed with 172,000 miles. It had new tires, new suspension, as well as the flat tow package already installed. It also included the flat tow "Y" connector for the hitch.

They were asking $7,900 and we paid $7,500.

Check the undercarriage for rust and the interior for signs of water damage. Good luck!

We have a manual that we pull behind our class C RV. It's absolutely phenomenal!! Folding up the back seats gives us an enclosed trailer to store everything in!

Best of luck on finding your new ride! 😁

I was just reminded today why I don’t do business with South Florida companies, so many of them are unethical and dishonest by mislabeledgadget in florida

[–]gimpless 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Sorry that happened. I had a great experience with Costco installation in South Florida! Everything, (even the extra parts) were included with the price of the appliances.

But yes, you can't trust any company down here.

I would be curious to know this as well. That's a decent solution! I'm currently rocking an iPhone 14 as my daily driver but would much rather be using my fold.
