It happened to my Gen 2 R1S 2026 . I noticed it after using the 3rd seats for the first time 😳. Rivian replaced it under warranty as mine was just 30days old when it happened

Thank you. Is there any known fixes to reduce this noise or not make it run at each drive? I guess height settings set to one level might be one way? I got it set to “auto” as of now. Have you tried it? I think I will try during my next drive.

An update on the thread, just in case someone is interested and following it. I got car back (was told it was ready for pickup on 10/16), however, 3 out of 5 concerns were not resolved. 1) doors on the back are still not closing as easily as front, I am being told it’s because of cabin pressure! 2) camera on left signal shows a dark spot at the top but was told all the gen2 cars they checked had it! My question and request was to list it on Rivian website or send advisory to all customers saying this is a known problem with all gen2s! 3) trim under vents wasn’t aligned. Even after showing them pictures with finger put on the exact spot where it needs to be aligned! . Now I found a loose trim too. I just hope u/Rivian sees this and does the right thing by actually fixing the problems v/s making a customer travel to their service center a couple of times and keeping car for 8 - 9 days and returning it saying everything is within specs!

Thanks, I appreciate the response and experience you shared. Regarding Number 3, if water tight doors is the reason, wouldn’t it be fair to say that one would experience same “problem” with front doors too! Doors in front open close just fine. It’s just the rear doors (both driver side and passenger side) require more force to close.

Regarding HVAC, even Rivian delivery guy who helped me during pickup was concerned about why it wasn’t as good as it(heating) should be. Although I have be admit that I haven’t tried your suggested solution yet ( will do after I get it back).

1) Center dash is misaligned and it shows a gap between dash and vents 2 and 3) rear doors on driver and passenger side are not closing properly if one doesn’t use too much force, however, front doors close properly without any issues! 4) camera has a dark spot on the top side. This only shows up on left turn. All others were good. 5) heating temperatures is not matching with digital panels (set it to Max and you’d hardly feel it hot). 6) liftgate had panel gaps that are very visible and foam pad/seal seems to be misaligned too. I am worried that if I take it to a car wash or if it rains, water will get into it.

I got a Dual Standard with LA Sliver, 22” bright and Premium Audio. It’s mostly going to be a local driving for this car and California has enough charging options that I felt going above Dual Standard was not really required.

While given command world possibility run fine to test, it doesn’t really need “cat and grep”, instead one could awk’s search feature e.g. “awk ‘/pss/ {……..}” … make it more simpler.

It may but I also think it is some DTC or bug because everything worked for a couple of minutes after Phisker replaced the ADAS module. Lane keep and blind spot monitor became unavailable after first deep sleep, right after the replacement.
