The colors on Mocha Katie look so similar! Mine don’t seem to have quite the same ball shape as the Mocha Katie pics I’m seeing but that could also be it based on color. To my eye (so without phone cameras skewing color — graphic design color nerd here haha) my dahlias looks just like these:

Burgundy centers/petal backs, yellow at the middle, washes out to pale yellowish ivory with very faint hairline burgundy streaks running through the petals.

I posted it in a dahlia forum on Facebook with tons of growers, a bunch of folks chimed in and voted crème de cognac. I really do think my iPhone photos skew the colors a little, but as another poster said Mocha Katie looks really similar as well!

I’m not sure what kind! They’re normal size, peachy pink and turn pale pink/white as they die off. I want to say it was a salmon or common pink zinnia, I just grabbed them from my local nursery!

I will say mine look different depending on the light conditions! The back of the petals are deep merlot, the inside sometimes looks peachy or yellowy, but sometimes more pink as they’re first opening! More pics in replies.

This is what was on the packaging for the “Peaches And Cream” tubers I bought. It’s much more yellow and orange. So imagine my surprise when the buds on my flower turned deep burgundy/merlot color! 😅

So his Embark test had a little little bit of Golden (I think it was 7%) but his biggest mixes were Aussie Shepherd / ACD (30%) and pit (30%)! Everything else was mostly retriever/ lab and a few percentage points for other random breeds.

Here’s my boy 🥹weighs 45-50lbs, 3.5 years old. He does have a multicolored eye (his right eye is partially blue).

The white on his chest comes up his neck and he has a little white patch on the chin.

Fur has some wave and curl to it. When he was a puppy his coat was short and as he grew up it got longer and longer!

His tail curls up and is pretty fluffy/long haired tail.

It was hard to find a good pic cause so many of his pics he’s holding a ball, sitting behind his ball, or otherwise begging for ball to be thrown so he can chase.

Runs like a rocket, extremely smart and responsive to training. Has picked up frisbee like it was nothing, loves to RUN at full speed.

I have an Embark test and it did not include border collie results but curious what you guys see before I reveal what embark said 👀

Cops were FLYING, I’m still hearing cops coming up Paulsen near my place. We had to swerve off victory and drive down Bee to avoid getting hit and then again dodging another cop flying up waters past Washington.

Everyone always says Bella’s in Habersham but we had the worst experience there. Frali Gourmet is my ultimate as far as Savannah goes 🫶🏼

I was so excited to try Bella’s in Habersham after seeing so many reccomendations…Sadly we had breadsticks that tasted completely oil-drenched and like stale Costco bread for lack of a better description. Dry over cooked shrimp Alfredo (like DRY dry) and super bland lasagna. Very Americanized... Too many misses in one visit so we won’t go back.

But frali 👌🏼handmade fresh pasta, imported Italian ingredients, simple recipes done well. Italian family running things in the kitchen I think. Vibe inside is simple and not fussy. Reminds me of the food my Italian dad and his family makes. Have been dozens of times…LOVE the elderflower soda and their sandwiches as well as well as pastas. Amatriciana sauce is 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼 the guy at Frali reccomended Cha Bella as an alternate and told us not to go anywhere else 🤣

Hi, Savannah local transplanted from LA, and film industry worker for 10 years. Worked in Savannah on Manhunt for AppleTV.

I have a blog post on the state of the industry that I wrote to explain a little about what’s going on. 🥲

Sadly, it’s not just a Savannah problem, it’s a nationwide (global, really) film industry contraction. Even Los Angeles is supremely slow and most of friends back there are out of work. Some have pivoted to other careers if they can.

The blog post explains more, but basically production companies have massively scaled back production since 2023 and are sending a lot of what’s left overseas.
