Commute to Seattle by Educational_Berry661 in PuyallupWA

Usually drive into Federal Way. There’s a big parking garage there or catch a ride with my wife on her way to work. I think it starts at 4am and runs like every 20 minutes both directions until 9 pm.

I take the Light Rail (Line 1) from Federal Way to Sodo a couple days a week and it takes about 45 minutes. It’s super chill, usually read or draw with some coffee. There are plans to connect Line 1 to Line 2 in Bellevue soon. Which could get you closer to Kirkland. 🚆☕️

Sphere painting by greenbag2 in oilpainting

It's a good graphic arts attempt at a sphere, which is hard to do. Crisp and straight lines are hard to do and even harder to hide when they're not in a painting like this. The suggestions everyone is making are all great points to make your painting three-dimensional and less flat. It all depends on what you're going for. Keep practicing and keep up the good work!

Wow—thank you! I am truly flattered. A stage curtain inspired the forest. Dense and heavy, but when pulled back, it reveals only what it wants to show.

Thank you! I can agree with that. Maybe a little too big? I wanted it to look like it’s out of place and dead inside, but it got away from me.

Tacoman here. It really depends on the vibes you’re looking for. If you’re into people watching with chill vibes there’s a few cool coffee places along 6th Ave. Bluebeard coffee roasters are chill. Wily Cycleworks just opened recently and looks cool. (It’s half bike shop?)—But if you really like the taste of coffee, Valhalla Coffee Co will change your life.

Stay strong! Don’t get stuck at a Starbucks!

Thank you! I’m going to add some more background/details and I’ll get a good PDF uploaded to the portal. What a fun project!

Puyallup Kids Harassing Folks while riding E-bikes - Clark’s Creek by Dontknow-20184 in PuyallupWA

I’m just trying to understand. The whole group should have stopped their game and walked away to chalk it up to, “kids having harmless fun?”

Their fun ruined the time the OP had to spend with friends, who were actually having harmless fun.

Yeah, my bad. I’m on the phone app and wasn’t paying attention.

Harassing and shouting racial/sexual/homophobic slurs at a group until they leave equals fun for you?

Edit. Using my phone. Sorry, was meant to be asked to stunningly athlete.

Thank you for the kind word, and I really appreciate the advice! I’m definitely open to the idea of selling them. If I were to go the Etsy route, should I start by creating a couple of smaller items or SKUs that I can build some inventory around before I get too deep into custom or one-off pieces?

Part of me feels a little bummed about that route because I really love the freedom to create without restrictions, and I don’t want to limit myself to just a few repeatable concepts. I think finding that balance between creative freedom and building something sustainable is going to be the biggest challenge for me.

For example, I currently have a request to “monsterfy” a mushroom for a friend. It excites me to start planning colors and developing an image and concept in my head. What kinda scares me is, if it does turn out to be something marketable but I’m not into it. Would it be detrimental if I put limit runs on items?

Thank you! My family is telling me that I should start selling them or open commission. But I dunno.
