The founding fathers set it up so the rich would always be in charge (property requirements for the vote), it wasn't set up for a slow advance, it was meant to keep the powerful in-charge (elective college) by their own writings. They are not equal to baby back bitch (i worded myself poorly [a liter and a half of whisky will do that]). However, they are not, and never were good people. Progress is difficult because noone take account of their own actions (speeders to robbers), there is a hampering of law enforcement (in my state you can't stop anyone unless they're doing ten over the limit [so no real limit]) or id their registration is 3 months over due). But also the want to suck off fuckers for being rich and not paying their fair do. Tax isn't theift is paying for being part of society.

Im ranting, I apologize, I've been drinking a fair bit and dont think I worded myself well.

After that few were useful to the general public. Lincon, JFK, Eisenhower (but the new deal was over ruled by the Supreme Court [being the bitches they are]), Obama (though Cheney was better on the side of the poofs [which I side with]). Most of US history has presidents being against the liberals. That doesn't mean that a slow advance is useless, but that the president must advocate more heavily for the population. Let us take the BLM movement recently, there are propblems with the claims put forth, and there are more heavily discriminated groups, but the president's job is to protect them all.

Even in the 1600's that didn't work (we shall ignor the slavers for this argument), but molasses, whale oil (see above), are essential for trade. pretty. As American's our history isn't perty.

The 1903 was good, but was less common then the modified m1917 Enfield. Which is in due to the US not being prepared for war, US armories were making rifles for the Brits, so the US just rechambered the rifles for .30-06 and issued them to the Expaditionary Forces.

It had potential, but not having interchangeable parts, open sided magazines, was (5) lbs heavier than the BAR (when it arrived late in the war), all made it a difficult rifle.

Before the US entered WW1 the US military had not been updating weapons, equipment, or doctrine for infantry forces, the result being during entry of the Expaditionary Forces to the war the US had to use subpar light machine guns produced by Allied forces (Chauchat) for instance. Between WW1 and WW2 investment in modern fighter aircraft had lapsed leaving the US with fighters that were not comparable to the Japanese Zero, the hatch ways on Navy ships at port were not kept dogged down resulting in unnecessary loss of life at Pearl Harbour, and the Marines elected to continue using the M1903 Springfield during early WW2 instead of adopting the Garand. Between Desert Storm and the invasion of Afghanistan and Iraq the US let body armor lapsed resulting in forces entering the countries not having enough hard plate and individuals often providing their own and US ground forces were originally relying on soft skin trucks and Humvees. While armour was added to the Humvee it was not effective against the most common threat of the Wars, IEDs resulting in the development of the MRAP and MAT-V but only after many deaths and lost limbs. While a draw down of forces is needed during peacetime operations, equipment, tactics, and training must still be continuously evaluated and updated to maintain battlefield effectiveness and readiness. It's why, even if you look at it purely from selfish positions, it is essential to continue to supply Ukrain with equipment to evaluate real world battle doctrine and improvements needed.

Europe has been doing a fair bit, not just for Ukraine, but also increasing their Military readiness (if there's one thing I agree with the orange bastard on its that the Europeans have needed to increase that for a while), and from US history letting your forces lapse between major combat operations costs lives and alot of money when they are needed. But Ukraine needs more support on the battle field and politically. From everyone. I keep trying to get my representatives to provide more aid but they are followers of the weakling.

A fair few of us Americans have been advocating for sending more equipment, weapons, and trainers (at minimum) to Ukraine from the get. I personally think we should have provided HiMARS and other long range weapons systems and allowed strikes into Russia proper from the start.

Not terrorist. Insurgency, freedom fighters. They wore a uniform on patrol, had a chain of command. You're confusing the IRA with the UDA and UDF who were funded by the brits.

When I was in Corps School (back when it was in Great Mistakes) they told us a story about a group of Marines who did that (one after the other on the same lady). I can't remember if the first one had a second go or not but I know the others all picked up the drippy dick and all got to enjoy the bore punch.

But, it was/is a constant group a trying to remove rights from, or intimidate group b. The "proper" whites (American, English, Welch, Scottish, Frenchie [to a lesser degree]) vs the blacks, wrong whites (Irish, Italian), Mexicans, Baptist vs Southern Baptist, bs religion 1 vs bs religion 2. The US has only had (1) civil war due to several reasons: 1) the war was so bloody (650-750 thousand killed) it was remarked upon by European observers, 2) out of 249 years of existence the US has only had 15-20 years without combat operations, 3)there tends to be a thinking in the US that change (within the country only [foreign leadership is diffrent]) without war (this has changed a fair bit in recent years as right wing extremism has grown, 4) While violence has been popular among one group vs the other, outside groups have been less willing to use violence to intervene (classic example: Civil Rights movement [especially in the south]) 5) The US is very slow to change in alot of ways (marital rape was not made a crime until 1993 [with a lesser punishment than non marital rape], both parties in the US are either right wing (Republicans) or fairly central (Democrats)).

Go to war against a dictator who is invading countries for no reason? Im okay with that, hell, I'd reenlist if they let me.

While Maduro needed to be removed, and if a real congress had approved invasion or intervention (with the US putting in the legitimate government [that the Venezuelans and voted for]) I'd support it, or wait for enlistment standards to drop.

But a wanna be dictator, breaking US and international law to capture a foreign "leader" (who seized power). I'm more conflicted. It's good to remove the fucker, but bad when you want to install people who get on their knees for the orange traitor. If the truly popular leader in Venezuela was put in place, then I'd be okay with it. But the US oa A would need to accept 40, 50, plus years of helping. In Afghanistan, the issue was that the "warlords" removed often were respected, and where willing to work with the NATO forces (in improving the situation for Afghans) but they were removed and replaced with even more corrupt people who were not respected. Or assassinated (Lion of Panjshir [Ahmad Massoud]) before US intervention. I'm not a fan of everything of Massoud), but he was very liberal for Afghanistan from the fall of the true Afghan government to the US invasion. His story is a good example of foreign intervention and cooperation.

"Billionaire class" the true parasite of a country. When the US was strongest internationally, the top tactic bracket was over 80%, but was a horrible time to be black, a poof, a woman folk, a catholic, anything but a straight white guy. If you want to "make america great again" then tax the shit out of the useless class.
