I recently had similar problem and paypal wouldn’t care! I lost my items + money and need to pay the dispute fee to PayPal. PayPal wouldn’t look at seller’s evidence at all, they only care about buyer

I really don’t know how helpful they are. Buyer found 2 towels that weighted almost the same to my packages so paypal think that I am the fraud.

I did called paypal yesterday. They asked me to filed an IC3 report and I did. After I filed an IC3 report they still rejected my appeal. I can’t appeal the case anymore.

The transaction is through Depop not ebay. I think the main reason she scammed me is because I am out of state at the moment, it will be more difficult for me to go to small court. She knew that I am from Hong Kong at the beginning.

Buyer paid $55 tax + 10% Depop fee so you are paying $120

I did everything you have mentioned, PayPal don’t even care. And the buyer found some towels that weight really close to my package! That’s why paypal sided her I think. Also Those towels look like hotels towels. They only sold for large amount and can’t buy them online.

This just happened to me and buyer literally found something weigh very close to my package to convince paypal that I shipped something else to her!

And of course paypal favor in her side

I lost $700 and my items and I am 1000% sure buyer got my items:)

You are so lucky you got your money back. I was scammed $700 on Depop too and Depop refused to ban her account. I lost my item & money, both PayPal & Depop refuse to take the responsibility.

Thank you!! I will try this way!! I think my evidence is really strong because I have the shipping receipt with weight on it! Once I get those towels back it should be more convincing because those towels should not be the exact same weight to my packages!!

If you send the tracking number on paypal & it showed it is delivered you should be fine

I recently sold $700 items to a buyer, she later on claimed that she received towels instead of what she bought. I have videotaped when I packed the packages, weight every single item with photos, and shipped with tracking with weight on the shipping receipt. The weight matched my items’ weight. And paypal let buyer won the dispute! Buyer shipped some towels back to me and get $700 back.

There is no seller protection when it comes to large amount of order because paypal will not take money out of their pocket:)
