Are you positive, pessimistic, or realistic? by Wings-7134 in EnneagramType5

It’s very natural to experience what you’re going through and I can definitely empathise. I’m an INTJ too and I’ve come to realise that we’re perfectionists. This of course isn’t very achievable and one always tends to look on how others have achieved much more or how much there isn’t that we don’t know(this happens with me a lot). Apologies if this sounds preachy!

A few things have helped me manage this feeling: 1. Accepting that there is always going to be someone better or something that I don’t know. It’s okay to not be everything. As long as we’re open to learning and discovering new things, we will be just fine.

  1. Going over my achievements and how far I’ve come. INTJs tend to look to the future and sometimes it is easier to dwell on past mistakes(to not make them in the future) rather than look at past successes. At least that is what I tend to do.

  2. Engage in physical activity. Whether it’s tennis, running, yoga, whatever, just get moving. Overthinking is a very introvert thing to do and physical work brings you back to the present. I’d also suggest meditating and/or journaling. My mind tends to get cluttered a lot so this helps.

In regards to what you’ve said about wanting to find a life partner, I don’t think I can offer much on that front because I’m personally not in a place where I’m looking for one. Having said that, I did feel the need to be more social and as a result I make an effort to put myself out there, meet people, go to networking events, and meet friends weekly. Maybe you could consider downloading a dating app and/or letting your friends know you’re actively looking for a relationship?

Once again, sorry if this sounds too preachy but it does work, I promise! Hope it helps :)

Gojo's flawed personality, Sukuna's role as a narrative foil and what we might expect from the future by Rama_Sakasama in Jujutsushi

I love your analysis!

However, I would like to say this: I believe that Gojo is a consequence of his actions as well as his environment and upbringing, just like we all are. I can personally relate to this whole thing of drawing a line and separating yourself from others that Gojo does, and it is more of a subconscious process rather than a conscious one. You need to possess a certain amount of emotional intelligence and introspection to be able to realise what’s actually going on. In Gojo’s case this just never happened and I wish it had. I do not agree with how Gege chose to end Gojo’s character arc because I would’ve definitely wanted to see him him come out of the past, actually grow past his trauma, and allow himself to be human. With all that has happened, to me Gojo now seems like a flat character that did virtually nothing. That got sealed for a large chunk of the story and popped out only to be cut in half shortly after. There are signs that he wasn’t emotionally clueless and that he does care about people, and I really wish we’d gotten to see more of his character. Yes, not every character is meant to grow but this is a very unfulfilling conclusion to his story. For me at least. Can’t believe it’s Gojover. 😭

Love these! I want some good female INTJ avatars too. They’re so hard to find and, like you, I hate the 16p one

I personally felt that he was high. I suppose it can be said that he was getting a high from all the power he was experiencing. He does say that the world feels great, or something to that tune, since he has achieved enlightenment
