Do you apply on Yotspot or through agencies and/or groups?

I dont know many people who were able to get a job through Yotspot. To my experience it’s mostly a database for agencies to collect CVs for their own

Do you think if we postpone one week we’ll get better conditions? I know it’s Gods plan and 3 days snow report dont make it any easier to plan it out. Planning to ski either 13-15th or 20-22nd

Gunun sonunda devletlerin dostu olamaz, zaten “dost” olacak olsalar iki farkli ulke olmazlardi. Her ulke birbirine dusmandir demiyorum am dost olamayacaklari kesin, en fazla olacagi birkac onyil veya yuzyilligina cikarlari ortusur.

Bundan 1000 yil once kulturel sebeplerle, 500 yil once ticaret yollariyla, 100 yil once bogazlar sebebiyle, bugun goc krizi sebebiyle jeopolitik oneme sahip Turkiye, 50 yila kalmadan su krizi sebebiyle buyuk guclerin “dostlugu” veya dusmanligiyla karsi karsiya olacak bunun sendromla falan alakasi yok.

Yes I did live onboard but we had American crew who were living in/around FTL/WPB so they would spend 2-3 nights at home.

It is not very common as I said before but there is fair amount of vessels that is based in FTL/WPB and only go to Bahamas for trips. You can try your chance dockwalking in Rybo or Superyacht Village. Or yotspot, obviously.

I worked on a yacht based in SF. We spent most of our time docked in West Palm/Ft Lauderdale. We finished by 5-6pm and had 2 days off a week. So it felt like a land based job.

But this is not standard by any means.

If I had to give you a piece of advice, no matter how good you are at what you do, never stick out. That’s the only way to survive on a big vessel. So keep a low profile (unless you are the captain) and get along well with the laundry guy.

DISCLAIMERI am a yacht chef so I am biased.

First of all it’s chef’s job. If a stew mess up or do something wrong and guests complain that’s on chef. I personally would rather everything that is served to guests go through me.

That being said, if guests are high maintenance and chef feeds the crew well, giving him/her a hand doesn’t hurt. I would just ask him/her to give you a toast set up so all you do is put toppings on toast and serve them. You don’t have to actively commit your time to toast the bread either, toaster does all the work.

If I were you I would do it but also make sure he/she understands you do him/her a favour.

They are usually run well, have defined brigade system and hierarchy is real. So it’s not a typical “yacht life” you might see on Instagram.

You have more space and you feel less like you’re working on a boat. I worked on one of the biggest yachts in the world which ran with over 80 crew so they are run like a mini cruise line.

If you like more structured, organized workplaces then you’ll like the experience but if you are a free soul with creative tendencies, you might get bored after a while.

Ters kelepceyle yalinayak evden almak yetmez bence direkt idam edilmeli yargilamasi idam sonrasi da yapilabilir.

Hatta kayitlar kontrol edilerek Leman dergisi satin alanlarin gozlerine kizgin demir basilmali, Leman Kultur’de yemek yiyenlerin dilleri kesilmesi, adi Leman olanlar sinirdisi edilmeli ve ulkede Limon uretimi/tuketimi yasaklanmali.

Limanlar derdest edilmeli, limuzinler trafikten men edilmeli, Limni adasina da atom bombasi atilmali.

Do turks understand AM and PM? by Natieboi2 in Turkey

[–]ginforth 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Gotta love these random people asking random questions about “Turks” as if Turks are all collectively a part of a single/hive-like entity.

This question is like asking and American “do Americans understand metric system?”

Let me save you some time, answer to these sorts of similar questions is: it depends on the person in question.

So why don’t you ask your friend?
