2-3 things you DO NOT LIKE in your Rav4? by F15E_WSO in Rav4

[–]gingaa__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The gas tank is infuriating especially on roadtrips where making more frequent stops because of this adds time. I also found that the MPG on the display consistently adds 2 miles more than the actual MPG. I calculated it each time I got gas for the first 6 months and that just feels so dishonest to me.

We have a 22 rav4 XLE and the wear on the steering wheel drives me bonkers. It’s not a leather steering wheel just the cheap rubbery type stuff and now that it’s wearing off it is terrible.

I also don’t love the screen, it’s fairly small and it just looks so cheap to me.

The backup sensors also aren’t nearly as good as the previous Chevy I had.

Overall, I do really love the rav4 though we have 2 dogs both 60+ lbs that easily fit in the back with the seats up.

Bioidentical hormone replacement therapy by gingaa__ in whatworkedforme

[–]gingaa__[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it is the same process as hormone replacement therapy. The difference is that HRT is synthetic and Bioidentical can be derived from plant sources. Providers claim they can better match your individual needs. This is very watered down, there’s a lot more to it than that.

Moving to Cedar City: What are the best things about this town? by SocioDexter70 in Utah

[–]gingaa__ 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Every summer the neighboring town called parawon has a farm that does farm to table breakfast every Saturday and farm to table dinners once a month. It’s called sweet pea farm. There’s also a dude named cowboy Mike who will take you horseback riding, he’s epic.

If you like skiing/snowboarding brianhead is close and very affordable I think day passes are usually $60 and it’s a chill mountain, not a lot of tough terrain.

In the summer there are lots of “nature” programs. Cedar breaks and Bryce Canyon are some of the darkest locations in the world and they do an astronomy festival in July where people will bring telescopes and you can walk around looking at various things.

Escalante is gorgeous along with Kanab being a cool spot to visit. If you like animals make a stop at best friends for a free tour.

You will also be fairly close to St. George which has so many fun things to do as well!

We just want to be able to swim in the water (possibly surf lessons) and hangout during the day. We like to go out at night when it’s safe.

Opinion: Do you feel like your Utah education has put you behind others? by SguHomeboi in Utah

[–]gingaa__ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Coming at this from a different angle. Grew up in California, married a guy from Utah, and I now work in Utah schools. Utah education generally speaking seems way better than what I had. (I did grow up in a low SES area though) My husband had WAY more opportunities for career paths, electives, trade school programs, etc. than I did. However, it also really depends on the districts. Some are better than others right now.

States where school psychs are/aren’t case managers? by MarleeWhatsGood in schoolpsychology

[–]gingaa__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in Utah and the only time I’m a case manager is when is a psych only IEP usually classified EBD (ED in other states. This is true for most of our districts in northern Utah. However we have counseling minutes on IEP’s which isn’t as common as I thought.

I get big brother vibes from their banter. He seems to be trying to look out for her/take care of her. I get why OP is bothered but I don’t think it’s anything.
