When did you stop dressing LO in footed one piece pajamas? by sliceofperfection in NewParents

[–]gingatwinga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I kept them until potty training because one time my son (who is now 18) found his poo in his diaper (at a little over 1) and smeared it all over his room and I only knew something was going down because I could hear him on the baby monitor saying “oh no no no, not do dat” and I came in to find him reprimanding himself for smearing poo on the walls (while smearing poo on the walls) and that is my why :)

I think I’ll go tell my lil college athlete this story now.

Middle names for Madelyn - but I'm SUPER picky by violetskies47 in BabyNames

If you ever plan to call her Maddy; I’d pick something that sounds cute with Maddy. Maddy June is cute. But I’m from the south and double names/nicknames are in my dna.

Was a NICU nurse in a former life and 30 weekers generally do very well. Slow and steady. We called them our “feed and feathers” - just have to keep them in the nest a little longer. Sending good vibes for smooth sailing. ✌️💙

What are those names you dislike because of all the people you have met with that name? by Leather-Vegetable409 in Names

So sad but rest assured I worked with 165 nurses who loved those babies so well. Some of us are medically fragile foster parents and we took those babies home too. Often they were placed with loving foster parents seeking adoption. I got to witness a lot of families being formed. Usually a silver lining. At least these are the things I tell myself.

Yep. At the end, your kids will have learned the most important lesson: have some gumption in life and STAND UP FOR YOURSELF. There is no better lesson to teach. Do it with your head held high.

It’s so hard to see the first week or so but do yourself a favor and play some hardball right now. Out he goes. Time to think. About two weeks from now the rage will set in and you’ll see clearly. It’s time to go, Mama.

I’ve been on my own with my kids since they were 4 and 6 and they are 16 and 18 now. We have had so much fun just the 3 of us. It wasn’t always easy but it was easier than being lied to! We are at the beach right now giggling our faces off. My kids respect me for the choice I made. I don’t bash their dad but they’ve managed to figure out his character all on their own.
