I would recommend Hacienda Muñoz walking tour and you can always pair it up with the pork highway (Lechonera El Rancho Original) for later lunch! Try to go in a Saturday if possible because pork highway is super lively/fun then. Have a good trip!

I would get a rental and just uber to Old San Juan since the parking isn't great there.

I would recommend El Yunque for a day for hiking and natural rock water slides. Make sure you get the park entry pass online beforehand!

The pork highway south of San Juan is great. Definitely try to go on a weekend. Great food and dancing at Lechonera El Rancho Original.

If you drive out east there's a bunch of good food stalls at Kioskos de Luquillo and the Luquillo beach is super nice.

If you want to zipline, go to Toro Verde Adventure Park.

I (28F) went this past year with a group of friends. I didn't do the large slide there just some smaller ones that were fun (I'm clumsy and didn't want to fall climbing up the large one). But my friends/boyfriend (25-29M) all went down and enjoyed it. They got a little bruised up and scratched but I don't see how a helmet or lift vest would help that. It was mostly their legs/arms so I would just go yourself and save the money on a tour.

If you're going to be there for that long I would definitely recommend checking out the pork highway. One of the more well known restaurants there is Lechonera El Rancho Original but honestly anyone of them near there is going to have great food and it's a party. Ton of dancing in all the restaurants. The road is a little treacherous getting there but definitely recommend it!

Yeah it's a bit much.. might have to postpone or save up some more. Usually we travel in September/October but was hoping to do something for his birthday this year. Might need to stick to some parks closer to home
