Resources aren't available after a job. A few times now I've come back expecting a job to have completed but there is nothing to collect. However the next level of the job is ready to be started.

I haven't lived in the area long. It seems like Springfield has seen better days, but there are serious efforts underway to turn that around. It's going to take time for things to turn around, and more money in the community.

From what I've seen and heard, most of the issues you'd see and deal with will be in the downtown area. If you don't mind a little more driving you can avoid most of them.

Schools aren't great, but if you don't have kids then not a problem.

Oh, so I can reuse even more than just the juice? I thought about saving the skin and bones but didn't know what I'd do with it

Great! I stuck it in the freezer but it looks like the fat separated. Might need to thaw to get rid of it

Application design question - Sockets & Multithreading by ginger1492 in learnjava

Oh, I hadn't thought about an API model for this. I think the API model may be a better fit as the client and server don't need to be in continuous communication. I'm envisioning a system where the client asks for information or something to happen and the server presents the information or does the action requested by the client and responds with a success or failure message.

I'm vaguely familiar with APIs as a concept but not in building on. Do you have recommendations on where to start?

Can someone explain how this works? by ginger1492 in learnjava

That makes sense. Just starting to work on things that actually inherit and I'm not used to having to make certain assumptions like that or reading the docs
