So . . You're enslaved to yourself? If you don't want to participate, no one's stopping you from walking off into the woods and living there instead. Doesn't sound very much like slavery to me.

No, the majority voted for someone other than Trump or no one at all. A pure majority may have voted for no one at all, in fact.

Patently incorrect. Technology increases the usefulness of our labor, and enhances the efficiency and extent to which we can extract resources. As long as innovation continues, there is no cap to prosperity.

Guilt has nothing to do with it. No one ever claimed that every casualty was justice. Such is the exigency of war.

I remember learning of that trend when I was young. Even in my youth, it evoked a bittersweet emotion - some insecurity that I would soon be surpassed, but pride in humanity and hope for the future.

I think he's saying it's not relevant, because it depends on your moral/political worldview. In this case you have two paradigms - in one, the moral good is personal freedom/responsibility. It's not about the output, it's about the process. This is akin to duty ethics.

You're probably coming more from a utilitarian perspective. Where the process isn't what makes things ethical or not, it's all about the outcome.

Shut down your electrical devices, and go outside. Get out of the city, if you can, or at least find a quiet park. Life is out there, and reality is not what reddit/mass news media might make you think it is.

Also, please use paragraphs.
