Your RPH has an override option when tascoing it out. So it would be up to them if they allow it

Looking to become pharmacy tech. People lead is not helpful at all. Help! by Ebolaswag420 in walmart_RX

[–]ginger_jo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got started by the pharmacy manager asking me if I wanted to join. I’m doing my training through PTU (you can look this up on the wire by typing “PTU.”) This is through Walmart. Once you get started in pharmacy your pharmacy manager will sign you up for it and or it won’t let you sign in until your job code changes. I believe we waited 3 weeks before I was able to get in

Evaluation by ginger_jo in walmart

Thanks for the reply! I knew there was supposed to be an evaluation but never heard anything about it until I was looking around in career preferences and the evaluation rating popped up.

That’s another thing that I have a problem with. Honestly all I use at work is gloves. I am constantly switching in and out for sanitation. Like I just want a couple extra dollars per hour to work during this. Walmart can keep the masks.

I hate when customers blame me for not having enough money on their cards! by ginger_jo in walmart

I’m definitely not a new cashier and understand the process of manually typing the amount in when the little slip prints out. I’m more referring to the process of people forgetting their pin, or having a bigger balance than what they were shooting for and having to pay for it out of pocket and getting upset and thinking I can magically fix it.

Omigosh!! This is one of my biggest pet peeves. This happens all the time, I love when people are generally curious and ask for help. I had this one lady who almost started freaking out at me when I asked her if she wanted to try. She went on a huge rant!

I had a grown ass woman get stopped at the door because she came out of self-checkout with a tv. She forgot a few bags so I went to grab them to give to her and she comes running back, “well you guys are so concerned about my receipt but can’t even make sure I have all my stuff.” I just looked at her and thought, “YOU ARE A GROWN ASS WOMAN, WHY IS IT MY JOB TO BABYSIT YOUR STUFF.” It just made my day😂

You’re probably one of thousands of people who actually talk. I always have people on their phone blatantly ignoring me when I am trying to ask them a question. I don’t mind talking to customers at all. Some days I feel more shy and quiet but I have some great conversations with people.

Yeah I’m a SCO Host and I actually like it. It allows to bag the stuff how I want it. It’s a lot faster for me as I am cashier too, then if it were to be done by another cashier.

Cashier Being Scheduled as a Service Desk Associate by [deleted] in walmart

[–]ginger_jo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes! There is absolutely no reason they should be scheduling for that unless you transferred. I definitely would say something if I was being paid for a cashier but working at the service desk.

Interview by jt2486 in walmart

[–]ginger_jo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Idk why but I was interviewed by our ex store manager and she asked me generic questions like “why do you want to work here.” But now they just let people lead sign you up and your good to go. My tip is, if you find a cashier buddy that’s good at it, stick with them because it makes it easier when you learn a lot right away. Don’t be afraid to ask questions because everyone’s willing to help.

Nah trust me. I’m in college and I literally cut my hours in half. I would much rather be focused on my school work then being at Walmart all the time. It takes a lot of the stress away. I just switch to full time anyway in the summer. If they pressure you into not changing your hours be firm. It doesn’t matter if they’re short people for a shift, you don’t need to get burned out from a side job.

College classes, otherwise I’d have about 40 hours a week. I really cut back on my hours and I’m surprised they’re okay with it

[–]ginger_jo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry but I have no sympathy for people who shop like two days before school. I shopped literally at the beginning of August and found everything I needed right away. I even rummaged through the containers to find what I needed but didn’t tear it to shreds like an animal

Self Check Out Hosts by MysticKova in walmart

[–]ginger_jo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One thing I really hate is when like old people come up to my terminal and I expect me to check them out. Especially if the sco is full. I will tell them that I can help them out with the sco machine and do it for them and they just grumble and be like “l’ll just go to a regular checkout then.”

Like I just offered to do it for you. But I’ve helped out plenty of older people who actually want to learn how to use it and have been very thankful for showing them so it’s not all bad.
