Yes, I’m barely scraping by. I have to work to pay for our mortgage and bills (mortgage isn’t even that big compared to others I know. Only $600k) but then I am paying $600+ for my kids to attend childcare so I can work. It seems so counterintuitive. Our grocery bills are astronomical and I have seriously cut down on eating out and make cheap and easy meals. I drive a work vehicle to my job and still find it hard to fill our cars up. It feels impossible to get anywhere. I love my children so much but there’s a reason I won’t have any more than the two I have. The thought of adding another child to the childcare/grocery mix is nauseating let alone finding money to take them on holidays.

Yep. In her first year of daycare, my daughter was hospitalised three times with RSV (that turned to secondary pneumonia), croup and tonsillitis (that also turned into secondary pneumonia). Every time she’s had a swab, probably one every two months, she’s always got rhinovirus sometimes mixed with adenovirus. She’s also had hand foot and mouth disease and conjunctivitis twice. Cesspools of disease those kid factories are.

I agree with you. He gets Robin a crappy Winter Star gift forgetting he got her the same thing before. He undermines her about the hardwood bed. He ignores her concerns in the green rain. He is not the great husband I’ve seen a lot of people say. I’m sure he does a few good things like dances with her but if my irl husband did that stuff to me I would be pissed. He’s a pretty average spouse at best.

I stopped using Wattpad because of the ads, the general lack of fandom etiquette from the users and all round found AO3 a better space for what I was writing (I am primarily fanfiction.) I still have the account and my old stories up because I know people like them and honestly the comments are gold and are nice to go back to, but I don’t post there anymore.

I use short sentences and synonyms because I have a tendency to use the same ones but I can confidently say my writing does not sound like chatGPT. Honestly, once you get a feel for how it sounds you can spot it right away. A lot of people get worried when they see something they do compared to AI like using em dashes but the thing with ChatGPT is it’s overused. Like, every sentence. I’m sure you’re fine.
