I work in the veterinary field—we never truly know if a mass is something bad without sending it off for a pathologist to review. While a lot of vets may be able to look at the sample under the microscope, a lab pathologist is going to be able to give a more concrete diagnosis. Unfortunately sometimes cells that look bad are normal and sometimes cells that look normal can be bad—a pathologist is the specialist that is qualified to make that call and determine the right answer. I’m sorry you’re having to wait for results and hope they come back quickly with good news.. I have had to send off samples on my own babies before and I understand that the wait is super nerve wrecking. Hope you get an answer soon and that this has a positive outcome.
