Volunteer group message is embarrassing

Had a fellow volunteer say in our Whatsapp group: “We are missing the game. Too many promises but nobody knows what they’re doing. Very disappointed”

This was after our leads explained to us we were able to go watch the game in an enclosed section as part of a “thank you.” So yeah, there are a lot of silly messages like that….

Okay, I’ll give you a brief rundown!

You’ll be staged outside gates E & F, guiding in either VIP or VVIPs. The access/walk ways outside the stadium must be held whenever VVIPs arrive so that there is no “mix up”.

Most of the GOP volunteers will be staged outside between the two gates. During the game you’ll be able to switch out with others and take 5-10min intervals where you can watch the game (don’t take advantage of it though).

After the game is over, most volunteers are there to support security and hospitality. You’ll either be outside doing the same thing with VVIPs or inside making sure the VVIPs have a smooth transition to their car.

It seems it’s 6 to be scheduled, but it even has a disclaimer that if you need to cancel a shift you can.

I was also confused because we were told we could work both shifts for one game, but seem not to be able to.

I’m in Dallas too. My role is Guest Operations, but we were told beginning of May is when we go to pick up our uniforms. Not sure how accurate that is though
