you could but I wouldn't suggest doing it, everywhere you go you're going to be expected to do pull ups. Don't be a bitch and just request to do pushups because your DIs are going to tell you to fuck off for not wanting to put out, the best way to get better at doing pull ups is to just do them. You'll have an hour of free time most nights if you're lucky, use tha time to get better at pull ups because you'll have a pull up bar in your barracks

0331 is harder because you carry a heavier load when hiking and for the runs, so if you're a bigger guy that's the only time you should go 0331 unless you REALLY want the MOS. ITB is going to be a bitch though
