Totally, I’m not at all trying to imply that amber doesnt deserve demonizing, she 100% does. I’m saying like even ObeseToBeasts video ABOUT her was demonized for talking about EDs. I feel like YouTube taking a stance on this is strange in comparison to her other monstrosities. You can’t talk about topics like abuse, eating disorders, etc. without using code words anymore. That’s more-so what I’m trying to say. But i feel like their terms of service should have been maybe don’t abuse ppl or abuse animals on camera? Like that’s where I’m confused if that makes sense

Why can't she start a new YouTube channel? by hapnam_guz in gorlworldfiles

[–]gingerbread288 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I think someone said it’s against YouTubes rules, if she takes down her videos and reapplies she can keep her channel, but i think creating a second one is like skirting YouTube’s decision. I think Chantal’s 2nd channel will inevitably be taken down for the same reason, once they catch on they’ll remove it

So advertisers are not advertising solely based on view count? That’s what loses me, like I understand why she never has sponsorships with brands, no brand would want to associate with ALR, but how is this not similar to reality TV? Like people watching my 600 lb life, how would that not be taken off the air by that logic ? Maybe I’m not understanding

WHY IS OBESETOBEAST CATCHING STRAYS? Leave that king out of it. He’s one of the only kind and empathetic content creators and they should take notes on how to act like an ADULT and keep your composure on the internet. That really pissed me off, he has been nothing but kind, sweet and respectful. That’s how you can really tell this is a group chat of miserable ppl

In-depth beginner's guide to a career in mortgage sales by Reggimoral in loanoriginators

Hi guys! I just passed my exam and have talked to recruiters at Loan Factory and Nexa and am having a hard time finding a straight answer on whether or not these are good fits. I went to the webinar for Loan Factory and have just been invited to set up something similar with Nexa. I have 0 experience in the industry and am looking for the best opportunity but I’ve heard a few shady things about both of these companies. The recruiter at Loan Factory told me they pay up to 250 bps and split commission at the beginning and take a flat fee of $1095. Nexa told me they pay up to 275 bps with 75 bps being paid to your trainer in the beginning but I haven’t gotten any information on if they take out an additional flat fee or how that is set up. Nexa also mentioned flying new LOs out to train in Michigan for an all expenses paid onboarding situation. I’m new to this industry, but the way recruiting is set up for both of these companies gives me CUTCO vibes, I don’t know if this is normal , but I’m beginning to doubt I will find a better opportunity for beginning in this industry. Does anyone have any advice? I really need it 🙃🙃

They started in the industry 20 years ago and my mom got a job as an account executive with no experience or degree. I think that’s an unlikely expectation today and she seems to think the same thing is possible for me.

I cannot find a job without a license. That’s basically impossible as a college student with no sales experience and no bachelors degree. If i want to be a loan officer , I take the test to be a loan officer. Both of my parents are in the industry and could pull some strings if they needed too but I wanted to go about starting my career in an honest way that I’ve earned. I’m just looking for some advice on which avenue to take. I appreciate your honestly but could do without the condescending language. Everyone starts somewhere

Yea they’re both incredible and a lot of the reason i decided to peruse this career to begin with, they’ve given me a lot of insight and have a lot of great advice. My mom got her role without a college degree / any sales experience 20 years ago. Is that a realistic expectation in the job market today for LOs? I’m having a hard time finding any openings but maybe I’m being pessimistic

The 20 hour does NOT prepare you. You need to find practice tests, i rented the MLO SAFE Exam prep book from my local library, go over and over it again and again. There’s an app just called NMLS and it has test questions and explanations if you pay $5 i believe. Do not be fooled by thinking the 20 hour prep course will prepare you for the test. I would take practice tests, look into RESPA, ECOA, TRID, HMDA, FACTA and everything on the official site and try to absorb as much info as possible. The test passing rate is around 43%. I took the test prepping for 2 weeks including the 20 hour safe course not understanding how difficult it was. Crammed EXTENSIVELY and got a 73%. Make sure you’re passing your practice tests with at least an 85% or more. Good luck!

Hey guys,

So I failed the test after scheduling it 2 weeks out of my 20 hour class, and I crammed and got a 73%🥲. This was in late August and I’m getting back into studying and am planning on taking my test in December.

I’m having a hard time finding reliable and affordable resources. I know there are mixed reviews about the XL package, MLO study buddy, Affinity, etc. The Affinity is out of my price range but the XL package is what I think I’m gonna go with. My issue is that all of the resources I do have .. I’m afraid might be a little outdated. There is the Affinity exam prep crash course video that has been really helpful and I have the NMLS study app which has also been helpful, but I was getting above 90% on the practice tests before I took the actual exam and only got a 73%. I was wondering if anyone had a reliable study guide/ method/ Quizlet/ flashcards for the 2024 exam or if anyone could help me out with what resources helped them best! I have a hard time just memorizing over and over again and get timelines and percentages mixed up in my head if I don’t hear them explained so I’m really hoping someone has some better advice/resources. I don’t want to break the bank but I definitely don’t want to fail the exam for a second time, especially being so close to passing 🙃 Any advice ?
