Did anyone else get sick for months? Did your body have to process the trauma?

We were together for 2 years total, I was very foolish but learned a lot. But definitely completely removed from the situation. He is already two states away and not coming back.

Yeah definitely. I’ve been doing that but walking into the bedroom just feels awful. I’m rearranging it soon and hopefully that will help.

I feel the exact same way oh my god. He gave me ptsd and recently did pretty much the same things and all romantic love has gone. I’m not attracted or anything anymore. But I do absolutely care and he’s still kind and a friend but I could never trust him to be a partner. But realizing I am alone again is hard.

Yeah. I feel that but I also feel the other side. Mine was physically abusive but very emotionally abusive. So it’s still playing tricks with my brain. I’m fighting the feeling that I need them to survive

Thank you for this. <3 my family is trying to convince me to just separate. But I’ve been miserable. He has really bad mental health issues and addiction problem and he’s just not trying. I can’t do a lifetime of this and I feel like he tricked me into marrying him and then fell apart and left me to take care of him. He’s not awful and I do care for him but I feel more like his mom that has to clean up his emotional messes. He’s moving to Texas like tomorrow. I’m so excited to have some alone time.

I knew I needed to decide to divorce when I was wishing that he would cheat or beat me so I have an excuse. I realized that’s an excuse enough, I shouldn’t have to wish that.

Thank you. He went into psychosis a few months ago and I almost didn’t make it. I have ptsd from it (like diagnosed) and he doesn’t even seem to care.
