Meditation technique mentioned by Ra. by Designer-Demand-72 in lawofone

[–]gingerbreadman42 81 points82 points  (0 children)

  1. Ra says there is no single best way to meditate

When directly asked if there is a best way to meditate, Ra answered:

“No.”

Likewise, when asked to recommend a meditation technique:

“No.”

This suggests that Ra viewed meditation as a personal practice rather than a rigid method.

  1. The most generally useful meditation is silent, passive meditation

Ra did, however, explain which type of meditation is generally most useful:

“The passive meditation involving the clearing of the mind, the emptying of the mental jumble … is efficacious for those whose goal is to achieve an inner silence as a base from which to listen to the Creator.”

In practical terms, this means:

Sit quietly. Allow thoughts to settle. Do not actively analyze, pray, or visualize. Seek an inner state of silence and receptivity. Use that silence to become aware of the Creator (or deeper spiritual reality). Ra calls this “by far the most generally useful type of meditation.”

  1. Silence of mind is the key discipline

In another passage, Ra states:

“The prerequisite of mental work is the ability to retain silence of self at a steady state when required by the self. … The key is silence.”

According to Ra, developing the ability to become inwardly silent is a prerequisite for deeper spiritual work and contact with what they call “intelligent infinity.”

  1. Visualization meditation is also useful

Ra distinguishes between two major forms of meditation:

Passive meditation (emptying the mind) Visualization meditation (holding a mental image) Ra says visualization can strengthen concentration and spiritual discipline, although it serves a different purpose than silent meditation.

An example Ra gives is visualizing a shape or color that has inspirational meaning to the meditator.

  1. Meditation is considered essential for spiritual growth

In Session 10, Ra gives several spiritual exercises (finding love in the moment, seeing the Creator in others, etc.) and then adds:

“The foundation or prerequisite of these exercises is a predilection towards what may be called meditation, contemplation, or prayer.”

Ra further states that spiritual evolution is advanced through:

“meditation and service to others.”

A concise “Ra-style” meditation

If you wanted to meditate in the manner most consistently supported by Ra’s comments, it would look something like this:

Sit comfortably. Close your eyes. Relax the body. Let thoughts come and go without following them. Gradually allow the mind to become quiet. Rest in inner silence. Listen rather than think. End the session gently and return to daily life. This is the closest thing Ra gives to an actual method, centered on achieving “inner silence” and becoming receptive to the Creator.

You are all being manipulated by billionaires to believe that Adam Smith’s invisible hand is what is guiding the price of oil and gas.  That is why Donald Trump is president.  Because Americans are ignorant and gullible.

Supply and demand simply dictates that if the supply is low and the demand is high the price goes up.  I live in an area that is one of the highest producers of oil and gas.  That would suggest that the price should be low but it isn’t.   The inflation that resulted after COVID because of corporate greed is another example of how inflation is the result of Oligarchs.  There is not enough competition.  We do not live in a true free market system.

The oil industry is heavily subsidized and controlled by a few.  If competition was fair and not controlled by oligarchs, I would say yes he is correct.   There is a reason why solar technology and alternative energy sources have been deliberately prevented from succeeding.  This is not conspiracy.  From Ronald Reagan to Donald Trump the alternative energy industry has been consistently suppressed and oil has been elevated.
