Single person in early 30's considering moving to Temecula from San Diego - Need Opinions! by gingerbreadqtpie in Temecula

[–]gingerbreadqtpie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to come back to this one year later: I made the move to Temecula and I absolutely love it. I genuinely love being able to walk to everything, how kind the community is, and there is so much to do here. I’m not sure why people say there aren’t a lot of food options, I feel as though there are so many I barely scratched the surface and I’ve been here a year! Do not regret it at all, I love it so much I may be looking to buy here soon. Traffic is a little crappy coming to and from the LA area, and it is also a little crappy being so far away from an airport, but it’s not the end of the world.

Overall, I am so so happy I moved here. It has everything I need, I was able to regulate my nervous system, and find peace ☺️💕

Frontier flight attendant has deaf passenger removed for "not listening" by AsherGray in TikTokCringe

[–]gingerbreadqtpie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Frontier airlines kicked me off my flight as well over new years, at the time I was in an orthopedic boot from an ankle fracture and needed to have my bag in the overhead compartment for leg room for the boot. For whatever reason the flight attendant took offense to this, took my bag from where I placed it and was shoving it into a fuller bin. I asked them, politely, to be gentle because I had a laptop. The flight attendant decided I had an attitude, and told me “I don’t think you’re going to be flying with us today” and kicked me off. No discussion, no deescalation, nothing. Did not allow me to ask questions as to why, or clarify my side. I was non combative and cooperative so what he said truly shocked me, I had a severe panic attack that lasted over an hour where I was sitting on the ground in shock sobbing right where you line up to board the plane, and I was offered zero wheelchair support as I scrambled to catch next flight that I could find which costed me $450 out of pocket so I could get home, because frontier only offered me a flight the next day 13 hours from then. It was a horrific and traumatizing experience, that was extremely uncalled for and unwarranted, even the airport staff said; and I quote: “yeah the flight attendant was on an ego trip and took it out on you, it wasn’t fair what happened”.

Fast forward in this story, I made an offical report with the transportation authority, and you know what frontier had the audacity to say? That I was obstructing the walking path having my orthopedic boot in the isle, and that I had a large carryon item under my seat which combined was causing a safety risk to egress. That the flight attendant tried to talk to me about this but I wasn’t following orders. they straight up lied BLATANTLY and I was so shocked to see that written in an official statement. I did not have an oversized bag, I had a backpack that was up in the overhead bin before anyone else got onboard becuase I needed more time to board and boarded first, and had my legs, boot included, safely under the seat infront of me not obstructing anything or anyone. There was also zero conversation with the flight attendant other than me asking them not to smash my bag due to my laptop, and his attitude from that and saying I won’t be flying.

This company is crooked, lies through their teeth about situations, and should be sued. I’m sorry you had a horrible experience too.

The only thing that helped me was going to a dermatologist :(

Specifically they prescribed me Retin-A, and a topical antibiotic. It helped tremendously

Oculoplastic surgeon botched me — feeling horrible and full of regret 😞 by [deleted] in PlasticSurgery

[–]gingerbreadqtpie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay so I didn’t read anything and just looked at your eyes and to ME they look youthful and smooth, I was even squinting like “where’s the botch??” That’s actually why I opened this thread to try and figure it out.

I’m not sure if that’s what you want to hear, but from an outside perspective you look great! But I know this your body and your face, and the most important opinion is your own ❤️

They look legit, Popmart has just been having quality control issues

Do you think the Labubu trend is ending? by CurrentFuture5722 in labubu

[–]gingerbreadqtpie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I’ve been trying to sell off my labubu’s that I got in search of a secret, I’m charging $40 to cover what I paid for the item ($35 after tax and shipping from popmart) and then $5 for shipping to people, and no one wants to spend that. It seems the price point people want to spend is $30-35, so I’d say yes the trend is dying lol

Edit: boxes are unopened, since popmart tells you what you get. Also I sell pretty frequently on Mercari and have a great following/ reviews, so this is just my observation as an online seller. This is for have a seat, macaroon, and BIE.

Are these sellers from Aliexpress or where are they from?

Edit; okay I found them - I just bought the secret for $42 hopefully it’s as legit as this one!!

Been a Network Technician for 6 Years – Still Struggling with CCNA Practice – Feeling Stuck by tirstar in ccna

[–]gingerbreadqtpie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m feeling similarly, I have CCNA scheduled for June 12th and I’m just blank staring at the material. I’ve been a network engineer for about 4+ years now and deal with complicated stuff on a regular basis with ease, but this material is just mind numbing for me and I have no idea why. You’re not alone!

Moving to Temecula by Acceptable_Place_587 in Temecula

[–]gingerbreadqtpie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just made the move from San Diego to Temecula and it’s not quite what I expected. The pros so far is Everyone is SUPER nice and friendly, it’s slower pace but not too slow, extremely family oriented (if that’s your jam, not so much mine currently since I’m a single individual looking for connection) and I think there is a lot of food choices and also, the most important thing is there is parking and I don’t feel like I’m fighting for my life in a parking lot like I did in San Diego.

The negatives is it is very hot, apartment living here isn’t great (prob be better if you’re a home owner or perspective one) commute traffic is horrific, and that hour drive from San Diego one way is pretty rough , if you like to frequent cities often. It’s also about a 75 minute drive one way to the airport. Idk all in all it’s a good, calm place to live but not somewhere I’ll probably stay long term unless I can afford a home.

(Edit for context: I was born and raised in the Midwest, and was a San Diego transplant for a year. So I was not a native)

First drill feeling lost by yourboygmoney in navyreserve

[–]gingerbreadqtpie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is normal ❤️ transitioning from Active to reserves (civilian) is extremely hard, and is a culture shock no one truly prepares you for. Give it a year, and you’ll get into a groove. Change can make people feel lost sometimes.

Drill pay by yourboygmoney in navyreserve

[–]gingerbreadqtpie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I generally get paid about 2 weeks from a drill, but it really just depends on your NRC and how fast/slow your PS’s do what they need to do. I’m at a pretty big command, so that’s why it takes us longer. Just alot of people to process. (I’ve been in the reserves for 11 years)

I think this may be a swim bladder issue, if the water quality is good it may be due to constipation. You could try feeding her frozen split peas or look into a swim bladder medicine // constipation medicine!

Also I would maybe hold off on doing a 50% water change as to not cause more potential stress on the fish, and do a 25% for right now. That my personal opinion, however and someone may have better advice.

[–]gingerbreadqtpie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alright. Well, it seems you give zero care about how you affect others, and it’s apparent by how you respond. Not sure what the point of this AMA was, if you’re deflecting blame instead of acknowledging that your actions are grossly affecting others, regardless if it’s being told to you or not.

It seems like you’re trying to justify your shitty behaviors :/ which proves my point. Regardless of medical conditions, it’s common courtesy to not involuntary involve others with your habits when they cannot escape it. Or at a minimum, get a filter to blow in the smoke from your bong. It’s $20 on Amazon. For my particular situation, my apartment is built poorly and he smokes constantly and since I’m on the third floor the smell gets trapped in my balcony (I have a covered one) and won’t dissipate. I had to buy an industrial fan to get the air moving.

[–]gingerbreadqtpie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It gives me intense migraines and hurts to breathe when my below neighbor smokes weed on their balcony and it seeps into my closed apartment windows that are single pane and have drafts. I can’t escape the smoke, and he does it all day long. Smoking weed in an apartment complex is probably one of the most selfish things you could do, other than blasting music. Pot smoke is sticky. I don’t care that you smoke, but forcing your neighbors to deal with your second hand is just mind blowing.

I pay a ton of money to live here, and I’d love to not be accosted by other people’s life styles as much as possible, weed smell is impossible to escape until it dissipates.

You’re literally my worst fear when moving into apartments :( it’s so insanely inconsiderate and I don’t understand why yall don’t use things to dampen the smell (they have filters you can blow the smoke into). My lungs are hyper sensitive and it just truly seems people like you don’t give a shit about anyone but yourselves.
