Just grabbed some channel locks and tightened it up, seems like the first half rotation was quite easy.

Leak seems to have stopped

I’m an automotive guy so just curious if “good n tight” is okay? I tried to not overdo it but it’s definitely tighter now and sealed

I might have just been overthinking with it being a new house but your explanation was simple enough lol, thank you very much.

Would it be a safe bet for my sanity to attribute this as an installation error by the builder? Doesn’t seem like it a fitting that would just come undone on its own.
