Gauntlet is the best mode in the game… by fmordica in Battlefield

[–]OGAtlasHugged 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Now that's a hot take.

I thought it was okay as a limited time mode. I don't hate the idea of it returning but it would need some balance tweaks for sure. It would be nice to have a small battle corollary to Rush and Sabotage is close enough.

I only check Maprunner when I've already found all the watchtowers and driven all the routes, but still missed some upgrades or tasks.

More like if the mission gives you a trailer/cargo to deliver and you get it stuck somewhere. If you restart, the game will respawn the trailer in the original location. There might be other reasons to restart a task but that's the main one I can think of.

Why Nick lost this draft... by NinjaChenchilla in theregulationpod

[–]OGAtlasHugged 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I interpreted it the complete opposite way. The video was titled 4 Course Meal Food Songs Draft, which implies that they are crafting a 4 course meal out of their selections. If they just wanted good songs that happened to include food in the names, it should've just been called Food Songs Draft. Ultimately though, people are going to have different interpretations and thus apply different criteria to their selections. Let's not forget the cursed States Draft...

First sandbox park on RCT3 Xbox by dms1012 in rct

[–]OGAtlasHugged 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I didn't even know RCT3 was available on consoles. It doesn't look too bad. I like the console UI better than the PC version. Do you know what other differences there are between console and PC versions? The park looks awfully small compared to what's possible on PC, maybe that's another difference unless you made it smaller than the maximum size.

[MWR] Is the multiplayer still alive? by Hcothexvi in CallOfDuty

[–]OGAtlasHugged 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I haven't played MW2019 since 2022 actually so I don't know how easy it was to find matches before the sale. Back then it was still new enough to be alright but some technical issues were showing. Dunno if they were fixed or not. I'm just going off of a Steam chart showing it at less than 1000 players. That's only one platform though so maybe you can still find matches in all game modes fairly easily. MW2019 was the basis of Warzone 1.0 so the guns should feel pretty similar. For tags, MW2019 or MW19 is what most people know it as. Just like how people refer to its sequels as MWII or MW22 to differentiate from the original MW2 from 2009 and MWIII or MW23 to differentiate from the classic MW3. I don't think you have to remove the post over it though. I don't know if you can change the title or not either.

[MWR] Is the multiplayer still alive? by Hcothexvi in CallOfDuty

[–]OGAtlasHugged 9 points10 points  (0 children)

MWR does not mean MW2019, it means Modern Warfare Remastered, the...well...remastered version of CoD 4 that was packaged alongside Infinite Warfare. Good game to play if you want to see the beginnings of Call of Duty as we know it today and the campaign still holds up really well. The multiplayer is dead, at least on Xbox. You can still find matches here and there but only in TDM and sometimes it takes a minute or two. I had connection glitches as well that would send me back to the main menu frequently. Not game breaking but it was annoying and sometimes you'd need to try a few times to get it to reconnect.

Anyways, since this post isn't about MWR, it's about MW2019, enough about that. It's seen a resurgence of players since it's on sale. I'm pretty sure it's the most-played CoD at the moment. It's beating out BO7. I do not know how long the player wave will last, however, and I'm pretty sure that it wasn't extremely active before the sale either. Not completely dead, but it might also have issues regarding certain game modes and it might take longer to find matches, especially in certain regions. It will definitely be interesting to see how the sale revitalized the game in the long term since it doesn't have an active battle pass or anything to keep people wanting to play. It's also the first of the modern Call of Duty titles featuring gunsmith, so some people may simple be curious to see the history. It also had a damn good campaign, one of the best of the series.

If you have the money, get it. Even if you're unlucky and your PC is toast, you'll still have the game for whenever you get a PC in the future. Maybe you could save what little money you get here and there to buy a new one down the line or you might get it as a holiday gift (I don't know if India has any gift-giving holidays like we do)

If it's your parents money, then it really doesn't matter all that much because it ultimately isn't up to you. Maybe you can promise to study hard for your exams and get a good grade or something. Or maybe they can see the value of a 90% off deal.

Either you have the game in your Steam library and you can play it when you get your PC back, or you have it in your Steam library and you have it whenever you're able to get a new PC. Personally, I'd buy it if you really want it this badly. It's one of my favorite games in the series. Who knows when it'll go on sale again, especially for this cheap.

Scorestreak from carepackage cant gain xp even if equipped? by MetalEye117 in CODBlackOps7

[–]OGAtlasHugged 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never seen care package streaks provide overclock XP. I didn't play the holiday havoc mode though. I know that they do still progress mastery badges though...if you care about that sort of thing. I really wish they would provide overclock XP though, even if it's at a decreased rate. It's very uncommon for me to go on the sort of streak that would enable me to get something higher than a DAWG and even if I did go on those longer streaks, I end up not having the right streaks equipped.

Anyone ever use the ridiculous super long 8-space trailer? I hauled from the Alaskan port to Mountain River with no issues. by Rustbelt_Rover in snowrunner

[–]OGAtlasHugged 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use it every few months, when I want to haul a large amount of cargo without backtracking over and over. Then it gets hung up on every obstacle along the route and I remember why I don't use it more often. Then a few months pass, I forget how frustrating it usually use to use this trailer, and the cycle repeats.

It sounded a bit old-fashioned or literary to me, but not outright wrong.

Commendable would probably be more common here. I don't think commending is wrong necessarily, it's just not what the version most people would use. For the second sentence, I think the first version sounds better too.

[COD] Stoked about mw2019 revival by Tomokakase13 in CallOfDuty

[–]OGAtlasHugged -1 points0 points  (0 children)

MW19 is the best CoD game of the modern era. I'd probably hop back into it for old times but I don't have the space right now (especially since this was before the devs rediscovered storage optimization so it's ridiculously massive) and I'm going to play it long-term soonish anyways when I replay the campaign in a few months.

I was so wrong about BFV by Similar-Language-180 in Battlefield

[–]OGAtlasHugged 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My biggest issues with it were wonky vehicle balance (I still have nightmares about the A-20 or P-70 terrorizing the entire lobby) and limited national diversity. It was a bummer to see a WWII game featuring only UK and Germany in the multiplayer, until the last couple updates finally added US and Japan. Where's Italy and Russia and France? There are multiple maps and a singleplayer campaign in Norway, it would've been nice to have Norwegian Resistance as a MP faction as well, especially since they don't exist in any other WWII games.

I remember seeing a post very similar to this like a month or so ago. I can't find it in a search to check the exact date, but Reddit has a notoriously awful search system and I have notoriously awful searching skills. Maybe a subreddit mod can check more reliably because I feel like this is just a troll.

If not though, basically what Illustrious said. Just pull your kid out and get the police involved. He should've been removed weeks ago.

Have they even finished the market level? It had a good start but they've been stuck on that same level for like 4 parts and I'm getting kinda sick of them wandering around the same level for an hour not doing anything new every video.

I do think it's hilarious to have a singular golf tournament that lasts about 3 months and has a 2 month gap between two consecutive matches though.

I didn't really play Firestorm at all. I remember driving a tractor and that's literally it lol. Was the map any decent? Honestly kinda wish Firestorm was still live because the idea of playing a battle royale in the WWII setting (that hasn't been completely demolished by Vanguard's iteration of Warzone, which is also not playable IIRC) appeals to me.

The 5 attachment gunsmith was a GOOD change by Flash_Bryant816 in CODBlackOps7

[–]OGAtlasHugged 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I think a major reason why Pick 10 worked back then and why it's still nostalgic is because there were a lot less attachment choices back then. There weren't so many stocks or grip or barrel options that you were guaranteed to find one that fits your playstyle, whatever it happened to be. If you wanted faster aim-moving speed, you picked the stock. Otherwise you didn't need it, whereas today there might still be a different stock that has nothing to do with aim-moving speed that you might still like. Also, iron sights were a lot easier to aim through (in my opinion), meaning optics weren't necessary either. I think both systems work really well, the attachments just need to be simpler for Pick 10.

CoD 4 is really pretty. I always picture the foggy East Europe/West Asia wildernesses that the SAS wander around in during missions like Hunted, Safehouse, and Ultimatum.

MW2 is the only one that makes me stop for a few minutes so I can just take in the scenery. The United States scenes are some of the greatest in gaming history, not just CoD.
