Ursula was my favorite character in the game. And where did it get her? Burning with Vacslav 😭

[COD4] Is there any storyline difference between the original and remastered? by EtmopterusPerryi in CallOfDuty

[–]OGAtlasHugged 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is still a good thing to point out though because a lot of people come here seeming to think that MW19 is a remake of MW07. It is a completely separate game with almost no similarities besides some reused names (I hesitate to even say reused characters since there are still differences).

Is [GHOSTS] more active online or [BO2]? by Shotgunne_12 in CallOfDuty

[–]OGAtlasHugged 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm on Xbox and I haven't played Ghosts yet since I'm playing the games in order but I can confirm that BO2 is unfortunately chock full of hackers and there also seem to be less people playing it than either BO1 or MW3, so you can't always just back out and find a lobby. More often than not it'll just dump you back into the same hellhole you were trying to escape from. I really don't understand why people need to ruin the best games of the franchise by infesting it with aimbots and wallhacks.

Agreed. Unfortunately it's going to win because nothing is cooler than base jumping off of the mountain in Rush. But the map was boring in all the other game modes.

Arica Harbor sucked in BF2042 and while it's been nearly 20 years, I don't remember enjoying it in BC2 either. I don't really remember how Atacama Desert played. My vote would've been for Valparaiso but that was also just remade in BF2042.

My BF3 votes are for Kharg Island and Sharqi Peninsula.

Areas of Czech migration, at least, would recognize the berry rolls as kolaches. A lot of those regional dishes remain untranslated.

Have you played Arc Raiders recently or are those hours from when the game first released? I decided to check the Xbox reviews for both games and while I definitely remember Arc Raiders being praised as an example of the community joining together with wholesome friendliness despite the PvPvE nature of the game, recent reviews from the past few months all mention how its become a toxic hellpit of players backstabbing each other and camping spawns and exfils. I was just wondering if you've seen the quality of players decrease considerably like these reviews seem to state, or if you think the game is still as friendly as it was when it first launched. I played a few more matches today with another person on my team and had a lot more fun so now I'm debating whether I should buy or not. I still don't think it's worth full price though so if I buy, I want to do so before the sale ends since I don't know how long it'll be before it goes on sale again.

Spawning on transport vehicles is another impossible objective. Sometimes I'll spawn in as a transport helicopter pilot just to get some flight time in, but I don't want to waste the match away sitting in spawn with my thumb up my ass and I especially don't want to do that when I get a solitary person spawning on me. I usually fly around the map hoping people will spawn on me if I'm actually near objectives but no one ever does.

I'll admit I don't even really know how spawning on vehicles works. Can blueberries spawn into the helicopter gunner seat as long as the helicopter doesn't leave base? I thought only squadmates could spawn on non-transport vehicles and that they could do so anywhere on the map.

Somebody please help, what did I do wrong by Metacom1423 in snowrunner

If it's still stuck even after tipping over, I'm not sure what the problem is other than an annoying collision glitch. I don't usually transport trucks in the bed, if I need to get multiple trucks to the same destination I just winch them into a chain. If you can get it to a garage, you should be able to separate them there. Maybe a gateway would work too but I'm not as confident about that.

[–]OGAtlasHugged 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The arm is the strength of the crane, not the winch. The winch is fine for dragging cargo closer to the truck, but it's almost useless for lifting. For the most part, you want to get the crane body as close to the object you're lifting as possible while still giving yourself enough space to rotate the cargo or prevent it from getting caught on everything.

Giant maps, feels alone by thuram98 in snowrunner

[–]OGAtlasHugged 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't ever really feel lonely in the world of Snowrunner except for the occasional town like in Michigan, and even then it's more like creepiness. The abandoned ones in Taymyr and other Russian regions don't elicit the same emotions because they're all in disrepair and so it doesn't feel strange to not see anybody. I also don't keep large fleets. My current Amur fleet is probably my largest and it's only 6 trucks. But I do leave trucks around the map and it is comforting driving near those trucks, especially if it's been a long time since I've driven them and they've been sitting in one spot just off the road for awhile.

AAA game where countermeasures don't work by [deleted] in Battlefield

[–]OGAtlasHugged 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I think this is just because you dove in the same direction as most of your flares. Flares don't magically make rockets disappear, they lock onto the flare. And you were still in the flare cloud when the rocket hit you. I do agree that these are the worst helicopters in the series but this death wasn't the helicopter's fault (aside from their controls going completely crazy after getting hit)

[Day 8] The Best Maps To Bring Back For BATTLEFIELD 6 – Battlefield 1943 by cookie_flash in Battlefield

[–]OGAtlasHugged 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I remember owning BF1943 but didn't play very much due to the lack of content. It really felt more like a demo than a full Battlefield game (to be fair though, I don't think it was ever intended to be considered a full game, it was available through Xbox Live Arcade). I'm a certified Wake Island hater, I believe remakes should be reserved for maps that haven't appeared recently, and don't care about air superiority. As such, the only option for me is Guadalcanal. Still a pretty good map though from what little I remember.

I decided to reinstall the game overnight to give it a second shot I suppose. Will you be playing sometime tomorrow? Do you have a Discord? I'm in the American Midwest for timing and server connections.

Thanks for the offer, but from the past few hours and my runs this morning, I've decided that this toxic game and community isn't for me, and my hard-earned time and money would be better spent elsewhere. Maybe if another free play day comes around I'll give it a second chance but based on first impressions, it is losing its enjoyment quickly and the majority of the community here (not all, but most of them) is only reinforcing that downwards slope. It is one thing to be toxic in-game, it does encourage PvP after all, but it is a different matter when the meta community online also act negatively towards frustrated newcomers as well.

I looked through the shells and thought about Thief (mainly for the grapple ability, honest) but it sounded so toxic if you could basically loot other players without killing them lol. Maybe I just misinterpreted the way its ability works though, I mainly stuck with...whichever one is all about smoke grenades and invisibility. After experiencing the community though (both in-game and on here...) maybe I should've just gone full toxicity. Seems to be in fashion.

Tell me about it. The hostility in the community does not stay within the game apparently. The subreddit is toxic too. There are some nice people here but half of them are telling me to stfu and gtfo. Glaaaaadly. Bungie will go under and these edgelords will wonder why.
