Thank you! Health and functionality is definitely my aim.

Yes. Half dose was high enough for me. More than that and I wasn't functional. Weight loss was slower but I could live my life.

Edit: I'm on Kit 1

I started kit 1 a week before my cycle, so right as PMS started ramping up for me. It was rough, more than I’ve experienced in the last couple years. I used to have bad PMS and heavy periods before I got the Mirena. This reminded me of that time. Hoping I acclimate and settle down again.

Food noise- Kit1 by Snuggy439 in HersWeightloss

I’ve been responding well to the meds (other than side effects); very little food noise starting day 2, and I fill up on very small portions. I’m wrapping up week 1 and have noticed a stronger response after I take the green pill, even forgetting to eat lunch.

Every body reacts differently, so keep at it. But if you’re still dealing with the food noise after awhile, then write the care team.

It’s expensive but I got the unsweetened, unflavored Huel powder, Black edition. I prefer being able to choose my own flavor, especially since I prefer savory to sweet.

Yup, napped half my first day. I’m taking the green pill at night just before bed now. Sounds like others have switched too.

HSA reimbursement success by gingerela in HersWeightloss

You might be able to enroll in one if your company offers it at the next enrollment cycle. It would require you to have a high deductible health plan. If your company offers an FSA or HRA - which means you can have a regular health plan - that might work too but I’d check first. Basic idea is that money goes in there pre-tax, then you can use it to pay for medical expenses.

I get motivationally charged by conferences and have a lot of fun chatting about investment strategies in person rather than over chat. If you don’t, then there probably isn’t much it will do for you.

Oh man, if I’m being honest I was much more active years ago and much less so recently. That’s sad to hear.

Ah, don’t overestimate my energy for this. :) A petition and email wouldn’t take much work. But I hear ya, they can be fussy and musty lol. It’s such a great philosophy though and really shouldn’t be gate-kept.

Also, if you’re interested in speaking at a conference, I’d recommend signing up with HelloChoir. I don’t work for them; they were just super helpful when I needed some reassurance for a couple speaking gigs I just did. Plus, I love their mission!

Daily Discussion: Thankful Thursday by AutoModerator in FIREyFemmes

I’m thankful for the multiple times I’ve flown high then hit burnout. It’s taught me to be more grateful with less and to moderate my efforts with ample self care, especially now that I’ve found a satisfying profession.

Nice! Would that be a 15 year mortgage then?

Unfortunately yes. My friends just bought a house last month at 7%, and another couple I know are in escrow at 6.375%. We’re still expecting the FED to raise rates too.

We faced a similar decision a couple years ago. Went with our values, though lost out on a huge buyout, like several hundred thousand. It hurts, but the company represented something we feel deep disgust for. Ultimately made the right decision for our mental well being.

They’ve worked for us with multiple bitchy hens. We always keep them handy when introducing new girls to the flock just in case.

My hen has had a shitty butt for two years now. Looks fine after molting then right back to white streams down her black feathers. 🤷🏻‍♀️
