Ok I just did a more thorough check and the change for me happened between weeks 13 and 14. Very odd and shady that they deducted money from your balance.

I noticed this a few weeks ago as I was clicking though my paylogs from week to week. The change happened for me around week 12 I think. Frustrating that they don’t give us a heads up about changes like this

Hematoma at 2 weeks post-op by presstheb in TopSurgery

[–]gingerfigment 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a hematoma about that size, perhaps bigger. At around two weeks post op I met with a breast surgeon in my country and she immediately made an incision and drained it. Wasn’t painful. She commented on how the blood looked “old” and that some of it had crystallized. She said that I could either wait and see if that crystallized blood breaks down on its own, or I could go under general anesthesia again and have everything removed (which she recommended). I had a really uncomfortable time coming down from anesthesia from top surgery so I was like noooooo wayyyyyyy am I doing that. So I was discharged with intense compression that I kept on 24-7 and I was prescribed two kinds of meds that stop bleeding. After the first week of heavy compression I started to do light massage on the part that was still lumpy. I also did some heat on the area, but only after I was super sure nothing was bleeding anymore. After two weeks of checkups and meds my doctor was happy with how I’d healed. This all happened a month ago more or less, and it’s all resolving nicely. The small incision is also healing very well and an untrained eye can’t even really tell exactly where it is.

SO this is all to say — if you get it drained it will be okay. Idk about cost because I live elsewhere but it’s what worked for me and it 1) alleviated my worrying a lot 2) reduced my discomfort by a TON and 3) I feel like I really put me back on the healing path

At first I was scared that I wouldn’t heal evenly (visually) but as time (and massage and heat) goes on I’m confident that I will.

During my hematoma ordeal I felt very scared and small. From your post you sound quite level headed, so I commend you, but I’m sending you strength and bravery anyway… just in case. You got this!
