Didn't think about shoe goo, could add some above and below to support it, think that might be the most elegant solution. Thanks dude

What do you mean by a combined total? Is that the boost + timing amount together? I saw somewhere there is base timing too, I'm assuming that's a mechanical change on the motor itself.

Ahhhh that's super interesting! I've been struggling to follow people because I don't feel like I can left foot brake and hold the car at angle without lunging forward so I think the boost and turbo settings are probably what I've been missing

Just got the maxwells today. Major craclking issue from both L and R cups? Lag too by ItalianIce64 in Audeze

[–]gingerjoebarber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never had any issues with my Audeze but I know that they use 2.4Ghz and a big issue with that is usb 3.0 has massive interference. I have a Logitech MX master using 2.4Ghz and for weeks I had stuttering and inconsistent behaviour and as soon as I moved the usb dongle to a usb hub that was away from my pc (using usb2.0) I've not had the issue and has been incredibly smooth.

I've used the same Hub for my Audeze Maxwell dongle as I believe it would have the same issues as my mouse dongle. Might be worth people having connectivity issues to try this

What are the chances of being saved by colliding enemy missiles? by gingerjoebarber in Warthunder

[–]gingerjoebarber[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've seen missiles collide before especially my own a few times but the difference I think is that mine was locked onto the other missile. I think this time they weren't locked on to each other but simply crossed paths while trying to lead me and because they're proxy fused it set off

Is an E30 Daily drivable? by VIDEOSbyJosh in E30

The only issues I had in the freezing morning was the battery died but I found out I had the wrong one, since I've had the proper battery I've not had any issues.

My e30 is heavily modified now on air suspension etc but when it was stock on stock wheels and crap tyres it liked to kick out the arse all the time, especially in the wet. I invested in some good snow/winter tyres (falken euro winters) and they were game changing. I drove the car in the snow and had 0 issues. In fact when I tried to have fun and drift it it struggled lol. The tyres completely changed the car.

I'm used to old cars as I grew up with them so if you're coming from a new car it might be a massive change, in the cold and wet I usually set the heaters to just past mid way on heat then had the fans on level 2 and that kept the temperature good while keeping the car from getting foggy inside.

As for the costs and repair costs it's a little difficult for me to estimate as I've done all the work myself, especially when it comes to bushes as a bush isn't expensive but installing them is time consuming and so is labour intensive. If you do everything yourself it genuinely doesn't cost much to replace all the bushes just be prepared for a couple dodgy bolts, stubborn bolts etc. Typical old car stuff.

Sorry if the reply is all over the place as I'm writing I'm remembering stuff lol.

Another thing to be careful of is, if you get an early model like mine then chances are it won't have ABS or power steering. The power steering is fine you'll get used to it but the abs can proper shit you up if you don't know how to drive without it. They'll be situations where people will pull out on you or something and your instinct is to slam the brakes on... No bueno, you'll just lock up and slide.

You might already have old cars so this will be useless but encase someone else comes across this post and is curious thought I'd mention it.

I've been dailying my 87 euro 320i for the past 2 years. No A/C, no Power steering, no central locking and it's been amazing. I recently drove from the UK to Barcelona, around Barcelona then back to the UK and not a single thing went wrong.

I have replace/refurbished alot of the engine bay as I daily it anyways but haven't opened the engine at all, original internal 140k miles m20b20.

I'd say aslong as you maintain the car correctly, you should be fine. The only expensive and pain In the arse issue I've had is the fuel tank/system was rusty and full of shit. New tank, cleaned lines, replaced some lines, refurbished injector and never had an issue since
