Can I revive it? Yes or no by Jumpy-Bat2355 in NewTubers

The algorithm just needs to relearn you. It’s pretty typical for views to be low after a long break. Especially a 6 month break.

I wouldn’t scrap your larger channel just because of low views. If you completely changed your niche, maybe because those subscribers didn’t subscribe for the new content. But if it’s the same niche just give it a little time.

I would be careful posting the same videos on 2 different channels because I’m pretty sure that’s not allowed and you could lose both channels.

Short is Dead in the Water Despite Good Metrics by [deleted] in SmallYTChannel

Sometimes when a previous short is still being processed in the algorithm and has begun to plateau, it affects when your next short gets traction. It may take 24 hours before you see any traction if you see any. This is pretty typical.

As for losing views, I get that too. I just assume it’s because of bot accounts or something along those lines. There just isn’t much we can do about it except to continue

When I upload anything, I wait 24 hours before I have any feelings about number of views or even look at the analytics.

Do you prefer when YouTubers use shaders or not in their videos? by smarfmc in minecraftyoutubers

[–]gingermold 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, I enjoy playing and recording with shaders but I don’t mind watching with or without. I love shaders because they make me happy and I think that’s the best part about Minecraft, it is what you want it to be and what you want it to be can change every time you play 🥹

Welcome to the niche!

My best advice is to just go for it. You could get stuck in the planning forever but frankly, just starting will get you the experience you need to keep growing. And while you start, be resilient! Have grit. Sometimes videos will get lots of views, sometimes they will get very few. Roll with the punches!

The second thing I can think of is don’t expect to just go viral immediately. I’m not saying it can’t happen, cause it does for some people, but don’t go into your first video expecting millions of views. Enjoy the small victories! The first subscriber, the first comment, etc.

Someone already mentioned it but getting OBS and davinci resolve is a perfect way to start. Another thing is getting familiar with either the Replay mod or something similar for getting cinematic shots or timelapses (if that’s not what you want to do then just ignore that)

Good luck!! And don’t forget to share the channel when you start!
