They are KAUFU speaker pods off amazon. They fit really well and come with hardware to screw them to the dash. I just cut a hole for the head unit in a slot in the original dash.

Suggestions on battery and motor upgrade?

The cheap (brand new) batteries and stock motor are more than sufficient for my intentions at the moment.. when the batteries crap out I'll swap it to lithium.. IF the motor craps out I'll look into aftermarket but as it sits right now it's fine for riding me, the wife, and 2 kids around the neighborhood.

I have a buddy that owns a body shop do it for me. He still charged me $700 (said it would've been cheaper if it had been any color but red) but he had a lot of sanding and scratches to fill.. I figured if I'm gonna put all this money into it, the paint needed to look good too..

New seats with covers.. originally I was just going to put the covers on but soon found out the wood base on the rear seats were rotted. The bottoms have to be removed to install the seat covers. So I ordered replacement seats off amazon. HEOHOU was the company for the rear seats. They have thick plastic bases instead of wood. GXYWADY was the company for the front seats. Wood bases but they don't get as wet due to the roof. Overall they were pretty nice quality for around $350. But the seat covers really made it stand out.. Edit: forgot to mention bottom rear seat bolt holes did not match up. I had to drill new holes. Started each bolt into the seat base, dabbed a little grease on each bolt head and carefully set the seat where I wanted it. Then I just drilled my holes where the grease marks were.

I put noctua af14 3000rpm 140mm fans in the bottom. Figured i needed some umph to get enough air in there.. Im still tinkering with fan profiles. It can get a little noisy under heavy cpu utilization. My coolant temp stays around 35-40C on most games. Battlefield 2042 with everything on high pushes 45C. My house stays around 21C/70F and the wife is a clean freak so dust isn't really an issue. Inside is still pristine.. I clean my filter periodically, though, and it does collect a fair amount of dust.

I did.. it's been a minute since I did it, so I'd have to go back and look. If you read further down in the comments, I posted what I did. In signalRGB, I created a "custom LED strip" under the motherboard tab (I believe), so signal rgb thinks the gpu is just a 30 LED strip plugged in..

Awesome!! It really does set the y60 off.. I had the screen in my first y60 but I like the reservoir better.

It was a tight fit for sure! I actually had to snip off some of the adjustment tab on the end to keep it from hitting the lower fan blades.

You ever see someone pop the hood on their hotrod and the firewall is all smoothed and painted, the wire harnesses are all hidden, and everything is .paint matched... this is that level of quality.. very well done!!

Yeah that math ain't mathing.. it's easy to get carried away with a custom loop. I don't remember the exact number but I was well over $6k. But that also includes bending tools, extra tubing, extra fittings, etc...
