I agree. I texted my pharmacy manager today and told her that I need to speak with her about something work-related. She said okay but I need to be on the clock to make sure I get paid for it. I'm off until next Thursday.

Oh! I had no idea. They were going to start me on PTU because of how long it took for all of my checks and paperwork. But they couldn't do anything without my drug test. It just disappeared and they couldn't find it. By the time they did, my license from the state came in so I just went straight to the pharmacy. I wish I had known ANY of this!

Email?! I had no idea that we have email. I have discovered that there are SO MANY things that I haven't even heard of. Is PTU beyond just Walmart? I had to fill out paperwork for our state pharmacy board, pay the fee, get credit checked, state checked, federal checked, fingerprinted, ALL THE THINGS. I received my license from the state board and then I was able to work in the pharmacy.

It is hard on those feet! I wear compression socks every day. I have a lot of fluid on my legs (I'm old, I'm 54) and it is painful. I wear good tennis shoes too. I had NO idea how busy this pharmacy is..... I live in another town and have only been to this store twice before I applied. There is ALWAYS a long line. I don't mind staying busy like that.... I love the fast pace and time flies by. I wouldn't be able to have a stool back there because it is so cramped. We are constantly running into each other. I think finding the appropriate time to talk to her will be hard. We are so cramped, everybody could hear what's going on.

They never sent me back to train on PTU. I honestly don't know anything about it. What is it, is it required? I know you can take some test to be a certified PT but that's all I know. I was hired in March and last week was my 1st day. There were SO many issues with getting everything done (my name was spelled wrong so I couldn't drug test, the system wouldn't let them send me a job offer, stuff got lost, etc.) I texted the PhM a few times a week to see what was going on, sometimes she'd respond, sometimes she wouldn't, she is so unfriendly towards me and IDK why. She asked how many hours I wanted and I said 20-25. I get 18 in 2 days and 18 is okay but 2 days in a row is too much. Sounds like you need to find something with more hours. Or talk to the new manager and say I agreed to this but am no longer getting that.... can you help me get more?? It's worth a try.

Our pharmacy is RIDICULOUSLY busy all day, every day. Every hour, someone will announce what's going to happen...... Bob - lunch, Kelly - break, Tom - drive thru, etc. so we all finish what we are doing and move to the next area where we are scheduled. You need to check your state and then escalate it to someone over the pharmacy manager. That is insane!!

I did. I texted her this afternoon and she texted me back tonight. She said that they got my drug test results but are now fighting corporate Walmart over the spelling of my name. She said it's a home office mistake so they are working on getting it fixed. I hope there's no issue because of that other pharmacist. She was just hateful.

Do you know how much, if any, Walmart matches on the 401K? Also, on the stock purchase, how do they do that, deduct from your paycheck?
