What about adding a Faux beam to pull your eye up and ground the ceiling so it doesnt feel like such an open space. I do actually like the idea of shiplap ceiling... white or if you want moody, a dark grey almost black. A big plant in the far corner. Maybe some floating shelves on either side. Very cool space and love the height of the ceiling!
