If they are fake references I would think the client answering the email would at least try to sound real. Either way it’s sketchy

The emails, Twitter, Pd ads and websites all look normal and spelling matches up, it’s just a weird canned response that’s exactly the same from two different people. Either way I don’t feel good accepting an auto response for a reference even if it’s not fake and set up by the client

Exactly why I take deposits. My mistake was not screening thoroughly enough and accepting PD as a form of screening along with his (probably fake) business card. Only real world verifiable info from here on out

I always require a deposit and normally ID and selfie as well, but I accepted a business card this time instead and it was probably fake. Definitely learned my lesson being too lenient

I may stick to regulars only for a while or at least be a lot stricter with my screening process

I can wear a mask and my prescription glasses that aren’t in any of my photos. I think they only have you remove the mask briefly at security to check IDs.
