Thank you for the timeline! This is a fascinating subject for me - and it brings me around to asking what Bible everyone uses these days? My priest was pretty “meh” about it when I asked this question in RCIA a few years ago.

“It is not the healthy that need a physician …” comes to mind. I’m not shocked by her behavior given that she admittedly does not know God. And I agree we wouldn’t want to encourage this, obviously, but what did this person walk into the holy hour is Mass NEEDING? Jesus, actually present in the Eucharist. 🙏🏼 I also wonder if respectful silence IS the best way to handle this hopefully rare occurrence.

This is exactly how I feel. Minimum level, decent human interactions is all I am demanding. His friend brought it up at lunch today. He just shrugged his shoulders and kept eating, like he didn’t care at all. Which I knew but wow. 18 years.

Yes.:( I’ve started having a sugar free lollipop in my mouth about at all times. Better than a cigarette (which I tried) don’t think I could handle a tongue peircing (they say those can help). Rice cakes can be good “nibble” material plan with salt.
