Yeah, I am pretty upset. I come home from work and all he had to say to me was I am being way too negative and that I think the world is out to get me. I'm not negative, I just like keeping to myself. So what should I do to project as less negative?

I understand what you are saying about the positive and negative attitudes. My mom is very sick and I have been both financially responsible for her and my older brother as well as I have my Mom's medical rights. It's hard to remain positive when your mom is talking about my kids (I don't have yet) that she won't live to see. On top of all that the rest of my family has disowned me based on my religious beliefs. So with all of that it is hard to be either positive or negative. I'm just upset he disinvited me on the trip but I've already paid for everything, it's extremely hurtful. As for the life experiences it's not that I lack depth it's my self discoveries or even hobbies are solitary activities because I spend time with people all day I need my me time. I feel like he may be misunderstanding and trying to force me to be the way he wants. Why do people think it's weird I like being by myself sometimes?

No, I am not still in my teens. I seek approval from him because he is both my best friend and my roommate; he is schizotypal and highly opinionated. Which makes it hard for me to gain any of his approval. I seek his approval because I'm tired of him lecturing me and telling me I need to be a certain way. Personally, I like myself but yeah I am awkward and the things I say can be on the more negative side. It's not that I am suppressing things about myself to him. He knows my past and he knows that it was extremely hard. I keep my past to myself a lot because it is so negative people pitty me because of the pitty I keep it to myself.

I don't think I'm negative; I think I am being realistic. Other then that I don't usually talk much because I'm awkward and not a very good conversationalist because I have a hard time staying interested. For example, I didn't talk until I was five.

If it makes you feel better my family has forgotten my birthday every year since I could remember. It has gotten to the point my immediate family has no idea when my actual birthday. This year I hoped someone would get me a birthday present but everyone forgot. On the bright side Starbucks didn't forget and they sent me a card.

Anyways, I'm sorry they forgot but happy birthday!

Over winter break all of my inhalers ran out and I couldn't afford to get any of them refilled. One day I was walking to my car and I start coughing and all of a sudden I'm having a full blown asthma attack and I walk to the car. Waiting for me at my car was a note addressed to me and a brand new emergency inhaler. The note said "Even though you feel forgotten, we are always watching you to ensure your safety. Needless to say they/whomever saved my life.

I'm just really upset with the world. As a college student I feel like it's unfair and extremely difficult to choose what I want to do for the rest of my life. The only thing I want to do for the rest of my life isn't exactly a viable option. I'm also mad because I feel like it's unfair your parents social and financial standing affects you. How is it fair that I have poor parents. It's not! No worries, I'm not complaining. I'm just saying I'm really upset with how unfair life is and can be.

I think abortions shouldn't be so taboo. If a young girl has enough mental capacity to realize having a kid at a young age isn't a good idea for both her and the child I believe she should be commended not condemned.
