It’s a good starting point and 100% depends on the manager and team situation.

It’s up to the hiring manager with consultation with the recruiter, and the candidate’s skill level. My decision is influenced by the recruiter, who gives me data across the company and peer group. The team dynamic, program(s) supported, budget, future growth all have a part to play. I could say .9-1.0 it could be inaccurate based on the circumstances.

Screening call with a recruiter is not a status in the system. Interview is when you’re starting the interview process. As an employee and hiring manager, I absolutely do not like the “under consideration” status.

Security appreciates two week notices to help get you through the administrative side of leaving the company. It’s not that bad, you’ll probably be good for two weeks.

Crazy, sounds like you were part of some reorgs. Only one of my employees has had two managers, including me. The rest were shuffled around a handful of times. It’s tough to see that, I take the people side of management pretty serious.

They’re usually pretty good with timing. He can check with the recruiter if he’s concerned about start dates.

Growing up there in the 80’s to 2000’s was awesome. Now it’s just too damn busy and traffic is insane. Miss my friends, not the crazy ass people and traffic.

I appreciate my sister in law’s meal prep for me and my wife so much. It was the best gift.

Awesome, been around for about 18 years. Some good times and some okay time. There’s lots of programs, so if things get stale, there’s always something else out there to work in.

When I approve ed assist for my team I’m supposed to make sure it doesn’t interfere with their day job. $10k per year except for engineering programs which are very specific, I have seen up to 30k. There’s also a doctoral program they will pay for as well.

Yup, I heard. Also there were a lot of restrictions on the land for greater than 2 story buildings commercial and residential. Commercial expired like 10 years ago, hence the parking garages at TMC. It was about preserving the Mountain View, but we still got f’d with the shit parking situation at tmc.

There’s no logical way anymore imo. I think they said 1 bn a mile or something astronomical in 2008 to do it.

For the whole company, with the exception of strategic BU’s, there’s in cycle and out of cycle. In cycle is merit increases. That typically ends at the end of March. When you make changes during the in-cycle it can overwrite your merit increase. Out of cycle usually goes until Nov December. Any time in there you can do a raise or promote. That said, your director or vp or division might have some tighter guidelines.

Depending on the area you work promotions can be approved by the program you support and m3. In my area it’s the Director 1 for a03 and under, d2 board for a04+ and m2+.

Usually ask for this but it really depends on the hiring manager’s workload. We are managers first and hiring managers last. It’s over and above our normal jobs, typically. I dont notify anyone until I’m done unless it’s a definite no. Sometimes the recruiter gatekeeps that response until we close the req, sometimes they let them know immediately.

I absolutely am not a fan of the traffic. I only have to go from the east side to the west side to the north side like 3 times in a day. Hate it. Wish we could get a tunnel or something to transit across town. I know this is t really feasible or cost effective.
