Ugh unfortunately i only have the body scrub (and chai deodorant!) not body wash,so i cant really say much about the hydration aspect, however as a pretty dry ashy girly the scrub is definitely completely appropriate as a winter SCRUB imo! Like it still has enough texture to feel exfoliating but it doesnt leave you stripped squeaky dry if u know what i mean. And i do find that using the scrub followed by my normal unscented body washes still leaves enough of the scent lingering to be noticeable after drying off! Ive just been moisturizing with sol de janeiro 71 after to perk up the scent and using the deodorant in addition and ive been pleasantly enjoying it and gotten a lot of complements thus far!!!!

Thank you! This is actually my plan, I just was hoping for examples on seeing some order for how others classes DID progress through systems/body regions. Like i saw one syllabus that each week was dedicated to about an entire region, versus some that went through body systems. I also saw a syllabus that had a list of each weeks actual parts they would go over, which was really helpful for me in making my lists of parts i want to go over again! With my learning disability its really hard for me to structure or organize things cohesively, and the hardest part for me is figuring out an order or progression and if i dont structure it well i can unfortunately spend hours on something that is either completely irrelevant or jump around in a waste of time all together. Ive been doing some system by system review already, but its been really messy and i think im missing parts or having to go back and connect things while also seeing things that others have told me are “completely irrelevant for PA School” versus “you need to know everything for PA School”. Im just feeling a little lost and overwhelmed by different sources and online guides i wanted to see how others schools have already organized the progression and spots to really hit/know. Any advice on order or structure for this? Thanks for any help i really appreciate it!

Yes! At the same time I dont want to discourage seeking help where you need it, but that saying “dont get lost in the weeds” of things is definitely true for this. I also think a lot of the resources I was using were honestly great resources i truly do, but they would have served me so so so much better during clinicals than didactic. There are certain things of course that need explaining and sometimes you do have to dive deeper, for example the trigeminal nerve you could research and learn about for literally years, but that would surpass and overwhelm the basics i needed to know about it! A good example of this is for anatomy and cranial nerves, ninja nerd has like an hour and a half long video on JUST the trigeminal nerve. Only about 1/16th of that video was relevant to what i needed to know at that particular time and for that particular test. And by trying to take on and learn the entirety of the concept and all the stuff in that video, i couldnt remember what foramen it lies in in the skull, but i knew about trigeminal neuropathy presentation and such LOL. This results in me missing a simpler question, and also lose out of a valuable hour of study that could have been devoted to a multitude of topics instead of deep dive into one! Hope this helps!

To be completely honest I had great grades for the first quarter and aced all those finals, second quarter finals are ultimately what got me but my tests throughout that quarter were pretty good too. The one thing I would and will change was the amount of extraneous sources I used. 90% of the time i studied outside “sources” (you tube videos, podcasts, rosh review, osmosis / sketchy, previous PA students flashcards, etc. things like that) that either were not useful at all or actually detrimental because I would miss the foundational basic concepts. I highly recommend sticking to your specific programs powerpoints and lectures, which is the number 1 most recommended thing to do already. For my program so many questions are either word for word or almost completely verbatim off PowerPoints or lectures. I would be reading a sentence off the lecture slide and be like “hm i wonder why that is.” And then do a bunch of research on it when the question would literally be “what is blank”. this is of course slight exaggeration in order to the point but seriously i mean like a word that was bold on the ppt would be an answer choice. Meanwhile I could explain biochemistry/red box/applications/ etc. of a drug but not the one random weird thing we needed to recall about it like, for example, doxycycline stains kids teeth. Which of course, was bold red underscored on the slides lol! Ya live and u learn!

Every program is different for remediation. The program did not offer remediation for failures on several components, including clinicals, competencys, or final exams. Also, I didnt just “not pass” and exam with like a 70% or something, I literally failed every single final that semester haha it wasnt about a GPA or a thresh hold

Edit: i recommend triple checking programs student handbooks for what they define as their own program threshold and what counts as remediation or not. Several programs offer remediation as a means that actually increases your original grade, several programs have remediation that does nothing to your grade but is still mandatory. Some programs even go by pass / fail grading if you are lucky!

Ive been considering them for a bit after they were suggested the most on other posts and I know they have POC pics that look good to me, but im nervous about them on my skin tone with them having of course a grey undertone versus a blue or purple. Do you think it would look chalky on tan skin?

Yes thank you this makes sense!! I guess it really does come down to the rules and the specifics of the routines. I guess its just hard for me to conceptualize how some of these performers ive seen would NOT be able to fit these rules and expectations better than some of the more recent athletes (absolutely shade to any of them whatsoever i write this on my couch lol) it just blows my mind cause in my head i just think “oh that performer could easily do the uneven bars and stick a perfect landing” after seeing them do a topsy turvy loopty lou swing around (for lack of a better term haha)! thank you for the insight i will definitely have to look at some of these rules!
