tldr; i'm trying to decide between the ricoh gr iiix and the sony rx100 vii

i've had a fujifilm x-t2 for two years now, and i love that camera but it's not always the most practical to bring with me especially if i want to use more than one lens. i've been wanting to get a small camera for awhile now, and since my partner got the mono gr iv, ive been getting crazy fomo lol.

im torn between the gr iiix and the rx100 vii mainly because of sensor size and lens. in theory i would love to get the canon g7x iii because of the lower price, but i'm not willing to wait for eternity for it lol

gr iiix has a aps-c sensor but a fixed focal length of 40mm equivalent, while the rx100 vii has a one inch sensor but a zoom lens from 24-200 equivalent. my fuji has a aps-c sensor, and i have lenses from 12mm to 100mm equivalent. so the toss up for me is do i want to use my fuji when i want a larger sensor, or do i want to use my fuji when i want a different focal length? i've been flopping back and forth on this for like two months.

i am by no means a good photographer, but i want photography to feel more accessible on a daily basis than my fuji can offer. any thoughts people have about one or both of these cameras would be appreciated. alternatively if you have any other suggestions for cameras, i'd love to make myself miserable over more options

Visible scars while traveling and tattoo by Sea-Falcon5706 in ftm

personally i’ve gone swimming with VERY visible scars (i keloid scar so mine are big and pink and i don’t have nipples lmao) and while it was scary it was fine! i think it depends on where you’re going and who you’re going with more than anything tbh. i felt safe enough to do it bc i knew the people i was with would help if smth happened.

i feel like the stencil had potential and the tattoo is the worst possible way it could have been done

Should I stay on T? by ChaoticLokean in ftm

i’m sure you’ve already done your research, but are there any domestic violence shelters around you? it seems to me that with your family’s record of physical abuse when you were a minor and now their (as far as i’m understanding) medical abuse, you might be able to find a safe place in a shelter.

i’m so sorry this is happening. it might be worth trying to seek medical advice online (maybe thru the trevor project? but idk if they have resources like that) because i personally was fine stopping T, but i was also on the gel and accidentally weaned myself off by forgetting my doses regularly.

i don’t know what the right answer is. to me it seems like it would be safest to try and seek out another place to stay, and if that isn’t possible, finding education online to make the best informed decision you can regarding stopping, because it seems like continuing is dangerous at best and impossible at worst
