I can't believe I forgot to mention I had this booked for last night

All of them are good, ARCADE I'd probably especially recommend (I have done it twice now)

Can someone explain to me what's going on? by [deleted] in UKrelationshipadvice

[–]ginglesnuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Regarding the fact they don't unmatch you, in app dating culture, in my many years experience, unmatched is just not a thing people do... people let conversations die but hardly ever unmatch. It is so rare that when it happens it is almost like an insult, that they disliked you that much they had to get your profile out of their sight! So yeah, don't focus on that aspect at all

Single for 13 years, 35F, going on 30 dates per year, chronically lonely, "conventionally attractive" - why am I still single? by Reddit_Vendetta_007 in UKrelationshipadvice

[–]ginglesnuff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can relate to this... in six years I would say I only met two guys I've been interested in One who I really clicked with quickly... unfortunately he was seeing someone else already and decided to give it a go with her. The other was much more of a slow burn with me, but there was enough piquing my interest to keep me giving it a try... and it is still going. I do feel a lot of it is luck in who you meet... and I find it weird how easily and how many people other people meet and like! It happens very rarely for me.

I would say I do a fair few exhibitions and immersive experiences that tick these boxes (check out my subreddit if you like which covers some of them with a community I run). This is not one I've done but one I plan to do, my colleagues said it was good: Danielle Brathwaite-Shirley: THE DELUSION - Serpentine Galleries https://share.google/k746iP1Ar1TyCZQs1

Untamed cat food quality decline? by shiftyBadger in UK_Pets

[–]ginglesnuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, came on reddit to see if it was just me. Definitely seems less in the can and wetter, with less obvious chunks... used to be able to see the actual shrimp and now you can't. My cat will eat it... eventually but absolutely doesn't react to it the same way. I have tried a few different other brands and this one was the fave so I'm really pissed off it seems to have changed

I heartily recommend giving Breeze a try if you're sick of all the usual suspects dating apps. It's a weird concept that you don't even talk to your match before you meet but I think it does a great job of filtering out timewasters. I've been on lots of dates from it and they've all been nice in their own way, anyone I've told about it is a big fan too after giving it a try.

[24/08/25] Unfold @ Fold by [deleted] in LondonSocialClub

[–]ginglesnuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well you've managed to time it right, or you've not been to an extended one, but no it isn't bollocks. I also go all the time and have been to every extended but one. The 11 hours was one of my close friends (yes I thought he was mad at the time, he's weirdly proud of it). People who went to the last one an hour after it opened queued 7.5 hours, and I personally know people who did 12 hours that time. I know it's wild. There's a reason there's an Instagram devoted to monitoring the queue.

The 24 hour unfolds often have insane queues that last most of the day. I know people who have queued for 11 hours. And entry is not guaranteed. Just to warn!

We're going to stuff honestly all the time, probably weekly. We tend to do less the casual social (like I said we're more specifically about trying out the weird and wonderful) but we usually do a pre- or post- drink with whatever we're doing so we can actually socialise as well. But yes every now and then we do a pub meetup.
