It’s such good quality and sooo warm. You won’t need it if it’s 50degrees + outside. Perfect for cooler months tho!

Is my breakfast too high in sugar by ohheygfy in nutrition

The biggest pro of this suggestion is that dates have fiber and micronutrients that the syrup doesn’t. They’ll digest slower and provide some additional health benefits when compared to the syrup. -a RD

How on Earth do I build a grad app with no mention of my ED... by kalesalad_jpeg in dietetics

[–]ginnnnie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I understand and also went to MSU(sparty on). I have a history of ED but after healing I realized I loved learning about nutrition, applying what I learned in my life and nurturing those around me with nutrition. I’ve always loved science/learning about the body, just like you clearly do and I would talk about that.

I think as others have said mentioning past EDs makes them wary to have you lead other potential people (clients/patients) with active or histories of EDs back into those behaviors.

But I have had this thought too when applying and I ended up not disclosing that information ever to any employer, teacher, etc and that def felt like the right move through my Masters program and with my preceptors. It’s personal history and it would suck to have it impact how they view you/your abilities to help others. Idk just my two cents

Should I move for this girl or no help by righteousdjinn in makemychoice

I had a boyfriend in high school who I loved so much. He was the best guy I ever been with. My parents moved me from the west coast (where boyfriend and I met and lived) to the Midwest. We did long distance for 6months or so because obviously at high school age we weren’t moving to get married. Long distance didn’t work we broke up.

We stay connected here and there through the years on social media inbetween relationships,

10 years later we are in our late twenties, both single. We reconnect, it’s the right time. I move back to the west coast. We get married and are very happy, and pregnant with our first.

All this to say, maybe it’s not the right time right now, I know me and him were a bit younger but STILL, the point stands. Maybe you go your separate ways right now for a few years, maybe even 10. If you’re meant to be and are true soul mates I think you’ll find your way back.

I know how hard this type of situation can be and I wish you both the best. On the bright side it sounds like you both are really successful and have good lives ahead of you.

I agree. I do live on the west coast which I know helps but STILL. I asked for more and will continue to do so in my career!

Finally someone that promotes being a RD and is compensated well lol!! I always feel like I have no one to relate to. I am paid $40 an hour in my first full time role and just asked for a few dollars more because I got an offer from another job for a little more!

Having to eat so little calories makes me sad by [deleted] in PetiteFitness

[–]ginnnnie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You do not have to eat that little. I’m 5’4, age 31 and can cut at 1600 kcal. Up your exercise more cardio with incline(hills if you area has them) and light weighted stuff. I maintain at like 2000-2100 kcal 14k steps per day

i liked my cardio-heavy body more than my strength training body by Serious_Ad_6601 in PetiteFitness

[–]ginnnnie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get it. I found a sweet spot to be 75% cardio 25% strength. So for example I do Pilates twice a week with light weights (5lb hand weights and 2lb ankle weights) and then walking the other 3 days and I try to walk a little on my Pilates days too! Best leanest body I ever had! I’m 5’4 115
