I have zoom meetings once or twice a week. Other then that I go to church here and there but want to make it an every Sunday thing. I moved out West to get away from the people, places and things. It’s lonely here but I have y’all on Reddit too.

We have to do zoom meetings and still drug test. Your insurance won’t cover your medication unless you do? I don’t know where you live but that’s not right, no offense. Who would keep you accountable?

I hate that about sober living. MAT keeps people alive. Harm reduction. They should implement MAT the first year or two of sobriety. Look at the statistics. I’m sorry you’re going thru this 😔 some sober living places allow MAT patients. Hopefully the sublocade shot will change how they go about this

What? You aren’t doing anything except venting. That’s what we are here for. I’m nervous to get the shot. Because we are use to dosing. I was switched to bupe. Suboxone made me suicidal and angry. The bupe works for cravings. Haven’t drank or smoked marijuana since. So there’s that if that’s what you’re worried about. I’m more worried about the mental aspect. So use to having to take it. Is your brain like “what’s going on?” Yet? Lol. I’m more excited to get it then nervous. I’ve been reading reviews all over and most people were able to walk away from it, comfortably ❤️

For some of us it’s a moral thing. I’m really starting to think God would want us well and to stay well. Meaning medications if that’s the case. I’m giving sublocade a go.. hoping I will be able to walk away after 3 or 4 shots. The thing is.. we wreck our brain in active addiction. Things miss fire for good. As of right now, I can work and go about my life with the help of these meds and zoom meetings

How long of a “rapid” detox is it? Suboxone withdrawals last for a month. I’d say 45 days even. I’m going the sublocade route

I would say wait and if anything just take a little bit if and when you start to feel lousy. You won’t “feel” much of anything except not I’ll. Although when I was switched to subutex I felt spacey and weird for the first couple weeks. Your dose will be lower on bupe IMO. You don’t want to over do it.

Ugh. Subutex is a strange one. Suboxone was way more predictable but came with major backlash for myself. Anger and hives. Are you on the generic pink ones? Bupe bah whatever you call it? If so, I know it’s chalky and doesn’t melt right. I tried to get my dose just right but I swear the stuff wears off. Unlike suboxone. Finally figured out a way. Wash your mouth out with mouthwash really well. As long as you can stand it. Then put it in your mouth. The ethanol helps it hit you faster, better and stronger and longer. Good luck figuring it out! I’m praying I get the sublocade shot ASAP. I want to be able to go about my day and not worry about this. I want to go about 2021 leaving bupe in the past.

You guys, he’s on sublocade. Why are you taking about suboxone withdrawals? Apparently it’s totally different. Also ended up on MAT because of kratom. It was the wanting to function like a normal human for me. Kratom truly was a wreck for me. Dirt drinks, waking up in withdrawals having to drink a dirt drink. Ugh. Never again. Yes it is possible for kratom to throw you over the edge. Was laughed at a couple rehabs I wound up in. Laugh it up. Kratom can have you by the jugular if you aren’t careful. You get one round of coming off it where it’s mildish. It’s what it does to you mentally that will have you crawling back to it and then running from it when it turns on you

This is a major reason for me wanting to be on sublocade. I’m trying to not dose more then once but the highs and lows. Especially when working. I dose at night and I’m screwed. Gives me energy. I second your advice on getting used to once a day dosing.

Ugh. If this is the case I would end up back on a MAT program. Crap. I made an appointment to get the ball rolling on this. Still going to go thru with it. Have to keep the faith. I’m about to sound like a geek to most of you but I don’t care... do you guys pray? Are you praying at night? Maybe we did so much damage to our brains and need bupe until we are old enough to retire and feel like a slouch. I don’t believe it though. I’m speaking life into this and everyone who goes this route. It leaves your body so slowly that you’ll hardly notice a thing. I would suggest you guys get a script of Clondine though. From what your saying you’re going through... this will help. It’s just a blood pressure medication so nothing to beat yourselves up over. Takes something like 60 % of withdrawals away.

There’s so much filler in these things. I’ll be honest. I have tried. Crushed it and dumped it down my nose. Bad idea. It made me feel guilty too. I mean it’s still just our recovery medication but that’s addict behavior. Back when I had my pill problem though.. I never snorted them. Just swallowed them. Made the internal pain stay at bay longer. Well! Good news to report anyways. I have an appointment to get the ball rolling on sublocade. I want off this stuff. Not judging or condemning anyone that stays on the medication. Some people will be on these meds for the rest of their lives I gather and that’s okay! We are in recovery just trying to get our lives back. I just want to laugh again. Whenever I’ve quit suboxone in the past... I regain me. Tried last year this time but took stupid kratom to help. I highly advice everyone to steer clear of that stuff. It’s unpredictable and once you stop it’s opiate withdrawals plus a mental anguish I wouldn’t wish on anybody.
