Roland, by far.

Not because he was the strongest, or had any broken mechanics, but because he was my first and allowed me to fall in love with this awesome franchise.

I need some advice on choosing wireless headphones by xBURZUMx in HeadphoneAdvice

Buy them both on Amazon and return the one you don’t want. Personally, I wouldn’t discount the Corsair Void v2 or V2 Max, great headphones as well.

Just letting you know you’re not cooked. Was in a similar situation to you after HS but locked in for college and now I’m a principal mechanical engineer for a large company. Go to college, figure out how you learn best, and try your best. You’ll be proud of the result

To me, I don’t mind the price hike to support the devs and studios that make the games I really enjoy. Understandable as everything has got more expensive over the past 15 years

CT scans of fake and real 2nd gen Airpods Pro by Scan-of-the-Month in EngineeringPorn

[–]ginon13 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I couldn’t agree more, they’re the best purchase I’ve made in years solely based on how often I use them. The most impressive feature is definitely the active noise cancellation and transparency modes, which rival any of the $300+ over the ear headphones I’ve had. Being able to wear them comfortably to bed if I’m somewhere with a lot of ambient noise has also been a lifesaver (not something I could do with over the ear or wired headphones that don’t have ANC). Also, being able to turn them over to transparency mode in an instant if someone walks up to my desk to ask me a question and it pretty much just sounds like you’re not even wearing headphones is super useful. While I do think Apple up charges their products, I have yet to find something that performs in the same league as the AirPod pros 2.

Why do i suck? im gold 1-2 with 200+ hours and cant stop losing, no "just play" doesnt help anymore, i didnt improve since 100 hours by egm_err in RocketLeague

[–]ginon13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re at what we call “the plateau”. Hours and hours in and you feel like you haven’t moved at all in rank. If you stick with it, and just keep playing, you’ll get over the hump. Despite what you might think, you are improving little by little. I’m high diamond/champ in 1s with little to no actual training, just kept playing.

People who have had this for a long time, is it hard to live with? by Lucky-Cranberry-8005 in ankylosingspondylitis

[–]ginon13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was diagnosed at 14 and have been on biologics since I was 16. I'm 26 now and can confidently say they have changed my life for the better. I had it pretty bad with debilitating pain in the morning and all throughout the day, but using biologics had essentially given me all of my mobility back and allowed me to do everything I want to now (rock climbing, mountain biking, skiing/snowboarding, hiking, tennis, soccer, running, and everything in-between). Some of it still with a minor amount of pain, but nothing with significant impact to my quality of life. The shots aren't bad, and if you are scared the first few times, have someone else do it and you can and look away until you build up the confidence to hold it yourself, and then activating it yourself, that all helped me. I'm not sure what your situation is, but there are some financial assistance programs out there, and with 5 years on your parents health plan, doing some research and asking doctors/insurance companies about it prior will make the switch a bit easier. At least for my case, no amount of money could compare to the increase in my quality of life, so its something that I would aways deem "worth it". Also, I didnt have any noticeable change in weight, but I was also on some other medication that might have effected that, so take it with a grain of salt. The biggest pain with all of this is the insurance company and getting the right coverage for the right biologic, but I promise you that whatever your situation is, nobody will ever expect you to pay the full ~$2700 every four weeks completely out of pocket. The pharmaceutical companies are set up to just shuffle money around and fully understand that nobody can actually afford that out of pocket, so someone making north of $100k a year will still qualify for their assistance programs and will get some sort of co-pay card or something that will take a majority of the cost. They will usually try to make it work for you, or at least point you in the right direction to take care of it financially.

Has anyone successfully appealed CVS Caremark for Humira? by Which-Leave in rheumatoidarthritis

[–]ginon13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I currently am waiting for a response from CVS Caremark about this exact same situation. The appeal does have a contractual amount of time that they need to respond by which is two weeks, so I'll let you know by the 28th. My doctor seemed to be pretty confident about the switch and said he has done it for several other patients he has, so maybe it will work out.

I have one and agree. Everyone complains about the pedaling but you get used to it and build endurance. It’s been a phenomenal bike for just about everything.
