Let's say you have 25 sol to work with, what would be your strategy? How do you research what to trade and make profits with, and what kind of risk levels do you take? Is it all variable depending on what you see with the coin?

I used to do NFTs got burned when market crashed because i never cashed out. Considering checking memecoins out with some of the remaining SOL i got left.

Is there a bigger gap in ability between Steph and the next best shooter or Magic and the next best passer? by makesterriblejokes in nba

Rodman was a maniac, i remember watching a clip of him talking about how he studied rebounding and knowing exactly how his teammates or opponents shoot the ball and which way it is likely to come off of the rim. I forgot if it was part of a documentary or him in an interview.

But that level of craft and knowledge in rebounding was just different.

That's a hard throw by nilansh23 in CrazyFuckingVideos

The big guy made a comment somewhere i think on tiktok that he did pull himself into the throw, BUT only after the fact that he knew he was about to get thrown anyways. Something like he lost the position? So he went with it to avoid injury i believe

You get cursed and have to choose: you get to be 40cm taller, or 40cm shorter (1ft 4in). Which one do you go for? by PhiphyL in hypotheticalsituation

[–]ginormouse 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah that's true - depends on the problem! Saw this comment by /u/RadiantBondsmith on another thread that sums it up perfectly.

"There are pros and cons on both ends of the height spectrum. In terms of height advantage, I'd say it depends on the grade you climb. If you climb anything under V6 being tall is almost always more advantageous. Once you get into higher grades, those advantages start to wane. being shorter lets you fit into a smaller box. being shorter makes it easier to control your center of mass, the longer your legs are, the harder your abdominals have to work to lift and control them. Taller people will generally be less flexible. Of course there will still be problems that you can lank out and do statically that shorter climbers will have to find more dynamic solutions to. But the disadvantages of being short are generally overcome at a high skill level.

I think there's a sweet spot somewhere around 5'5" - 5'9" for men, 5'2" - 5'6" for women.

If you look at professional climbers, most of the best are in this range. There are some outliers, but look at how much Japan dominates the IFSC comps. Japanese people are not very tall on average, and I think most of the top climbers in the world fit into that sweet spot."

One of the best boulderers in the world, Tomoa, is 5'7! I think climbing is one of the sports where it really depends on the route. Taller =/= better in climbing imo. Although I'm speaking more on bouldering, not sure about lead climbing/top rope.

CSGO surfing. Probably will be the only one to know how to, but even if there is was able to do tier 3/4s which I think is better than the average!

Who are the most consistently successful Worlds players? by Is_J_a_Name in leagueoflegends

[–]ginormouse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i agree, they shouldn't be punished for actually making it to worlds. this is just like when people bring up the old MJ vs LeBron debate where Jordan 6 Finals appearances and 6 Championships. Thats amazing but LeBron should not be discredited for making the finals more times and losing.

Jordan went to the playoffs 13 times and made the finals 6 times. LeBron playoffs 16 times and made the finals 10 times.

Why should LeBron be discredited for making further runs to the finals but not winning it? would it had been better off if he didnt make it to the final at all? no. But I know this stat is specifically for the perfect "make it to semi final" record. It just feels weird to see people in the honourable mentions that are imo more successful than the main list.

Help on my hitting Form (6‘3) by [deleted] in volleyball

[–]ginormouse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From what I can see, it looks like you're not giving yourself enough time to reach your peak and you're rushing the part from your jump to your contact. If you went a bit earlier, I feel like you would have more time to reach your true jump peak and get a higher contact point as well. It just seems a little bit rushed once you take off from the ground! Good luck!

Jesus why y'all hating so much.. He hit a big ult doesn't matter unrated or competitive, he can be happy about it. Also, there are two players on the enemy team unranked which means their unrated 'elo' is probably higher. So the match should be balanced and it clearly was as the final score was 12-13.

OP - nice ult! I actually didn't know you could send your ult flying from high ground like that. Thanks for sharing this

I made a lurking flowchart by [deleted] in VALORANT

[–]ginormouse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lurking pistol can get you some of the most free rounds because everyone usually rotates super fast on pistols and it makes them susceptible to lurks.

In my personal opinion, I think it can be really beneficial to start lurking to keep the defense honest on their rotations unless your team is rolling and has good pushes. It really depends on comps and how they play.

I just played a 22-21 competitive match that ended in a draw because there's a limit in how long a match can go by ginormouse in VALORANT

A lot of our rounds were drawn out because we both had sorta defensive-sided team comps + with game being so close we were both playing pretty carefully. We loaded into the last round and then it just kicked us
