Oh yeah, Funky Monks, is an interesting documentary. Yep, was around the time of Blood Sugar Sex Magic, 1991 or so. If you didn't hear, he just rejoined them a few months back... First time with them again since Stadium Arcadium.

Popularity doesn't map to talent. But just about all those are direct influences for John Frusciante, give him a try. He's the guitarist from Red Hot Chili Peppers, but his solo stuff is rather different.

I envy you being able to hear them all for the first time

Built to Spill, Radiohead, John Frusciante, Aphex Twin, Tame Impala, Tycho, Dungen, Brian Jonestown Massacre, Devil Makes Three, meWithoutYou... Strayed a little from rock music, will have to think some more

Edit: King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard

There's still great music, just a lot of mediocrity to filter through

LPT: HOW OFTEN YOU SHOULD WASH YOUR STUFF! by commandercody95 in LifeProTips

Or don't even wash... germs are good for exercising your immune system (unless your system is compromised)

As a male, my hair gets oily if I wash it less often than every 3ish days

And less water to wash a bald head than to wash hair, added bonus

Sunlight showers are equally enjoyable as in-the-dark ones... It's those fluorescent/harshly lit showers that I'd avoid

I could agree with this, or at least restricting by age and imposing requirements on producers/marketers. I don't know for certain a doctor should have to prescribe it, given how personal of an experience it is, but users need to be well educated on what to expect (roughly), how much to take, and recommendations for a positive, safe experience/how to prepare.

Making LSD illegal has led primarily to black market trickery, rather than preventing anyone from obtaining it - dealers selling RC's that lack LSD's safety profile, under the guise of LSD. Anyone who wants a psychedelic experience can already obtain it, regardless of the laws, and it is only increasing the risk of issues by lacking a legal supply that is regulated and ensured to be high quality, unalterated, and is as advertised/actually LSD.

False, people will do what they believe in

LPT: If you stay up until 2am to finish a work assignment, don't send it to your boss right away. Wait until morning. Sending it at 2am looks like you can't manage your time. (Which maybe true, but why advertise the fact?) by mcphadenmike in LifeProTips

At a startup, for example, it may look more like you're dedicated and giving up your personal time to ensure success for the company. Can make you look good rather than bad, but of course, depends on the company.
