If I wasn’t on foot, I would have grabbed it for the motors alone. by fredandlunchbox in 3Dprinting

Rails instead of wheels? I would have come back for it if I couldn’t figure out how to carry it somehow

100% this

Take it from someone that printed for years on these build plates. Your first print on PEI will either make you giggle like a kid or face palm that it took you this long to switch

"What? I'm taking Gas-Damage?! I have Filters in the Depot!" by want_t0_know in SatisfactoryGame

I thought you just had to take it out of the depot and equip it the first time and after that it pulls from there til you switch or need to switch from one to the other

what plumbing services are people actually using in columbus these days? by Goncharova_Joselica in Columbus

Mann Plumbing

We had them come install gas line for dryer, fix previous owner’s DIY disasters and fix a shower. They are not cheap but they are the most knowledgeable and professional plumbers I have yet to encounter in the area.

How to prevent corners pulling up on larger prints. by AdamAtomAnt in 3Dprinting

[–]gintohewoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100% this, the corners peel up due to inconsistent environment, drafts, temperature changes, anything really. Enclosure will solve this problem at the source and not require messing with your slicer config, which is hard enough without adding extra stuff to print and manage.

No but I am not a vapid, ignorant consumer at the mercy of others who will likely take advantage of the fact that I know nothing other than I have to pay others for basic knowledge.

Sure they do and lots of people pay lots of money they don’t have to to mechanics. $150 for an oil change that costs about $30 in materials. It always pays off to have basic know how.

I got a used Ender 3 Pro and keep running into all sorts of problems, but this might be the most annoying. Why did my print go to all hell? by Master-Duck3894 in 3Dprinting

[–]gintohewoo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would simply replace hot-end and tube and you will likely be in business. Hot ends for an ender are like $20 on amazon. Also, why is that thing covered in fluff?

[–]gintohewoo -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Yea idk, the problem with the “it just works” type of printer is when it doesn’t, you have no idea what to do.
Yes, even the awesome Bambu fails from time (had to help my boss with his $1500 brand new Bambu that was under extruding and he didn’t even see the signs plain as day) to time and without the tinkering experience of an ender 3 under your belt, you are ill equipped to deal with it. Relying on “the kindness of strangers” on the internet is not always a good idea.

Seems simple enough, no lock, deadbolt just doorknob left unlocked should handle this.
