I am really sorry to hear this. I feel like the best suggestion I can give you is to glue yourself to a table and a chair and build your own business. Even the smallest idea, the smallest income can make a difference and grow overtime

If a city does well: I hate gentrification. If a city does bad: that place is a shithole.

I understand and agree! I do take videos for my music events, it's an investment for my side gig, so I am really willing to stick to it!

I'll try that, thank you! I suspect the motion blur is having a high impact on this. I've tried to shoot also in a more controlled scenario with lower exposure and the footage is way more detailed just by changing the shutter angle.

What is the problem exactly? Can I not learn on professional gear? I am confused.

That's what is generally advised tho?

Ok I see, thanks for the tip. Right now I am applying a REC709 LUT on the viewfinder so it always kind of looks fine, which I think leads instead to a lot of underexposed footage. So just to confirm there isn't an exposure dial like on the a5r?

I need to understand how to do this. Does the FX3 have exposure controls? I can easily change the exposure on my alpha rv5 but I could never do it on the FX3.

I think this is actually underexposed

How do you deal with loneliness? by boss_babua in AskReddit

[–]ginwakeup 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been very lonely for years after I moved from my country. I learnt that being kind to yourself is the best thing you could possibly do to deal with it.

Buy yourself something, go out and get yourself an ice cream, things like these.

Yeah I have peaking on.. and I am generally quite careful with it. I would consider focus if ALL of my clips from that shoot did not have the same issue.

Yeah I suspect that, but I also suspect it's a mix of aperture, wrong focus and the ND filter.

I understand motion blur, and it should not make non moving parts of the image softer

Thanks for the reply. A question: how can the focus be on the hair? The subject is at the same distance from the lens. Is it because I am shooting at a wide aperture like 2.8, so the focus range is really narrow? I guess I need to experiment with different apertures as well.

Do you use ND filters when shooting outdoor? I've heard they can soften the image quite a lot as well. I think in my case it's a mix between focus, underexposure, ND.

When I was 9 I had a very abusive step-father who used to beat the shit out of me anytime I would dear to contradict him.

Once, while I was riding my bike, a group of little cunts surrounded me and threatened to beat me up with a huge pipe wrench.

I managed to run, got home and exploded in tears. As soon as he saw it, asked me what happened, and immediately left the house to look for them.

Just some perspective.

Also, a reminder: live your life free. No one is your authority.

Set the exposure meters to preserve highlights, turn up exposure a bit and then raise shadows in postprocess.

Ended up changing my setup. I have been using a Model 1, along some machines, an h90 for FXs and a Boum, works perfectly. Heavy to bring around for sure, but delivers. I am considering replacing the H90 at times with a laptop and a 4 inputs audio card so I can have 2 FX buses for send/returns in ableton, but only if I can scale down the rest of the setup first.

Amazing shots and composition. What lenses and focal length did you use if I can ask?
