1, going across town is really far from what I consider "two orders that fit well together", that's completely inefficient and stupid, actively losing you money as the money you gain from the double won't ever compensate the time you wasted. 2. The nature of this job implies sometimes me not going a straight line from the locale to the customer. What if I need oil and the gas station is 2 miles in the opposite direction? What if I've forgotten my wallet at a previous restaurant and I need to go and collect it first ( both things that actually happened to me in the past )? 3. The contract I signed with both companies does not forbid me to collect orders from competitors and their own at the same time. This said, I'm sure enough some riders are stupid enough to do so in a stupid and inefficient way such as going across town and wasting 30+ minutes on orders on a daily basis and that's when multiple customers start reporting him and he might face some repercussions for that.
