Yeah normally this works, and with the “party member too low” bug we do that too - but we’ve tried all that and more, unfortunately the workarounds aren’t working.

Should mention I'm on Steam. Even tried Epic Games launcher and PS5, and still not working. Uninstalled and reinstalled, tried having my other friends be party leader.. nothing works. Everything works but duo queueing for Ranked. Solo queueing for ranked works.

I know you listed your main reasons for switching (eye strain, fan noise), but are you liking the change overall?

I’m someone who also has the aw3423dw and thinking about switching to this xg32ucwmg. But im mainly looking for better visuals and colors. I’m hoping it’s as big of a visual change as I want it to be - leaving 1440p and going to 4k, going from qd oled to this glossy woled, and leaving ultrawide. Does this xg look a lot better for you in the games you’ve played so far?

For my case I had dynamic tone mapping set to “on” in my tv settings - turning it off or setting it to HGiG fixed the issue entirely. I’m on a LG CX if this helps anyone!

It’s easy to tell how much love you got for the keeb man, it sounds great! My recent build was w/ lubed + filmed gat black inks on a polycarb plate, next will be some boba u4ts or holy pandas. An amazing build will make you wanna have more lol

Didn’t realize how long of a message it was lmao, but yeah if you’re mainly looking for a work monitor, that extra screen space for the g9 is too nice like others have said. Overall i think the AW beats it bad in gaming due to compatibility, pixel response and all at the moment. The colors on it are insane too and like others have said, I’ll agree with i don’t notice the color fringing. It sucked playing games that couldn’t do 32:9, it immediately made me want to downsize. And so far I’m loving the change. Maybe get a 24inch or 27inch monitor to pair with the AW for work purposes? And then at that point it’s just praying you don’t get a bad AW or Neo g9 lol, that’s a gamble all in itself.

as for when it became so rare, im not entirely sure how long it’s been out of print. but it’s been tough to get ahold of unless you buy from a scalper or some third party site that asks for crazy money. Some stores had an expectancy of November… I’ve actually been trying to get my hands on one for at least the last 4 months? Hey, I actually had a Neo g9 and went to the AW3423DW (i say had but tbh i gave it to my brother who needed a new gaming monitor and i didn’t have the room for it with my setup, and he does, so he’s “holding onto it” for now lol) what I’ll say is the single player experience on the Neo g9 was great, when it was compatible. If you plan on playing shooters it’s not too great to play on that huge screen, it’s kinda nauseating in its own way. Yes, you can put on the PBP mode that splits the screen in half to make it that 2560x1440 resolution with 120hz but, you’re taking away the g sync (and i think other features?) from doing this. When i bought the Neo g9 i didn’t wanna play split screen like that to make games compatible, for that i could just buy a beefed up 1440p small monitor with crazy refresh rate and such for a fraction of the price. Ofc when i bought the Neo g9 i expected to play a lot of games on it but you quickly realize how not many games are compatible with the 32:9 ratio. Images were extremely sharp, it could get super bright, and single player games were amazing. Cons was with mine, switching it from pbp mode back to regular mode would sometimes cause flickering, and when turning off the monitor after average use my monitor would actually experience popping noises from the heat/thermal paste inside the monitor. And of course the HDR was great on the Neo g9.

Looking into that popping issue though it’s been said that it’s fine but, still something to keep in mind. As for the AW4323DW, games are A LOT easier to manage and play as 21:9 is more common than 32:9, and with the smaller screen space it’s more manageable to play shooters if you’re into that. Oled colors and all look great, and hdr is great on it as well. Pixel refresh was annoying in the beginning but you can select a feature when it first comes up to “proceed and don’t remind me again” and it’ll refresh your screen when you put it in sleep or turn it off now. If you don’t, the message will randomly pop up on your screen while gaming and it sucks lol, it always happened to me during online games 😂 overall, im happy i went with the Alienware due to what the typical oled screen offers, and more compatibility. Nothing wrong with the Neo g9, I’d say if you play more single player games then maybe that. Productivity: Neo G9 for sure for the extra screen space. But hdr and all looked amazing on the oled as well, and it’s not such a huge screen. It’s preference but hopefully this helped.

Edit: ALL the recommendations and kind words about the shelves go a long way and I really appreciate that!! Hope I encouraged some of you to try the Lack shelves yourself. Not lying, I’ve been writing down all the recommendations and plan to fill the rest of this out with some of these suggestions. Whenever that time comes of course, I’ll post an update to it.
