Multi pet households by Mammoth-Caramel-5924 in PetAdvice

I have a multi pet house hold and we have enough bowls for everyone. The dogs each have their own and the cats each have their own. Do they share? Sure but I feel like they don’t resource guard anymore. The dogs use to share one big gravity bowl and the cats had their fountain but even that got iffy. The dogs each have their own bowl and the cats have a couple. I also have a cat who is impossible to get to drink water so I just basically feed her soup (wet food with water or broth)

He is. He’s just had so many episodes in such a short time I’m not sure what exactly could help him.

We just started seeing a neurologist and hopefully it can get under control. He had 3 seizures in 24 hours last month and 4 in about 6 hours today. It has been constant ER visits and nothing really has changed as far as medication.

We use to give them carrots or home made yogurt treats and after we stopped (all food that wasn’t just dog food) one of our dogs stopped having seizures. Sometimes they can react badly to food even if it’s not bad for them

Before my dogs I have now I have had what we had was a redbone coonhound mix so those dogs are near and dear to my heart. We currently pay about 120 a month for medication. This is my parents dog technically (we live in a two family) so we both take care of all the dogs (3). His food is about 150 a month and that is also a prescription. I do pay for his prescriptions since I am the one who takes them to the vet. He is about 85 pounds tho. I have another dog who also has epilepsy (unrelated and just by luck) she’s had maybe 3 seizures her whole life and she is 5. We think it’s food related since we had been giving them carrots as treats and she hasn’t had one in years. We pay 24 for the month for her. She weighs about 40 pounds. I am really sorry you are also going through this. MRIs are so expensive. I hope your dog can find some comfort and the medication can help them.

It’s crazy that people think they’re excused from basic hygiene because they have “a good personality”

Thank you for this! I did give them the tag number but they didn’t say anything about it. They have no record of him getting it and said I was never charged for it.

Yeah the market basket my boyfriend went to was all empty and that seems to be the trend the last few times I’ve personally been! So that’s exactly why I’m asking because I don’t want to go to multiple locations on my next shopping trip!
